Damn, I was seriously beginning to doubt the sanity of most of the people in this thread for the first 26 seconds of that video, knowing how bleeding awful the live-action adaptation was.

I'll take a wait-and-see approach with it, though, as a lot of the old DBZ movies are garbage tbh.

Hopefully this dbz movie doesn't suck and actually fits into the timeline unlike the other movies. And maybe Vegeta will attain ssj3 and Piccolo won't just be comic relief.

The other movies fit their parts of the timeline. As long as you knew what part of the timeline they fit into.

Piccolo is a BAMF - my favorite fight in the entire series is between him and Android 17. Two episodes of nothing but pure, unadulterated asskickery... until that fop Cell shows up, anyway.

Speaking of which, the episode where Piccolo remerges with Kami and battles Cell is also pretty bad ass. Folks don't give the guy enough credit, yo.

Anyway Toriyama working on it or not, I just don't know how good it will be. But one thing I do like is the fact that nowadays the manga creators have a bigger job with working on these movies. I think Eiichiro Oda started something when he wrote the 10th One Piece movie.

As for the Piccolo talk, just to let everyone here know, he is Toriyama's favorite character.:wizard:

Blame Toei, and they almost fixed most of that stuff in Kai(f**k Kai), but they did show it's possible to make Dragon Ball short. And LPPrince is right the movies are never long.

And hell look back on what Dragon Ball was before Toei's filler sh!t. It's also the only time Yamucha was ever cool.:P

Umm, Kai is an improvement over the original series in every way... except for the soundtrack, that is - the music in the original FUNimation run was waaaaay better. Original Japanese soundtrack was better, too.

GT was a pile of offal - I watched a few episodes of it, then deleted it off my hard drive forever.

Is Toriyama actually gonna be animating this one? That would sell me on the movie a little more if so.

i liked gt it was different but i enjoyed it

So excited for this!! But....living in the US, we probably won't get if for a good 2 to 3 years in an English dub. :(
