So I was working on a 3D version of my DAge OC in DAZ 3D (you know, Poser's baby brother, as I call it), but realized she has tattoos and I have no way to get them onto her.  Could I find the game's tattoos somewhere in the files, maybe through the toolset, and extract it for this?  Or to extract it to make a tattoo texture similar?

there are a number of mod sites DANexus among others that have some tattoo mods available you could either download those or contact their creators directly for some really good info.

Head tattoo files are *.dds textures saved under names which start with uh_tat_*



Each file is actually 4 separate tattoo patterns, each pattern stored on separate channel (Red, Green, Blue and Alpha)

how exactly would i go about if i wanted to enable dalish tattoos for my city elves?

there's no mod i've fiund so far which does that....
