I've updated origin. This was my mistake. Now, when I start ME3, I see logo and welcome screen, I press key to continue and game craches. What should I do in order to play my game? Why EA always get things worse with origin? Why I can't play the game which I played for?

same thing here , my mass effect crashes 2 out of 3 every time i am trying to start the game and it won't let me access EA servers in order to play multiplayer!

Stupid Origin update is what it is

Same here.  Update Origin and zip.  Can't get past the Omniblade.

I was under the impression "updates" meant "improvements".  Apparently it means "render inoperative", now.

That's what I get for being old - I lose touch with these newfangled ways of doing things.

I'm also experiencing the same issue. I get right up to the "Welcome" menu, at which point the game stops and I get "Mass Effect 3 has stopped working."

I hope this is addressed ASAP!

Here is a quick fix that worked for me.

Exit out of Origin completely (kill process). Navigate to Origin's Install location. Rename IGO32.dll to IGO32.dll.disable. Now restart Origin, and launch ME3. You shouldn't get an instant crash now.

Anyone that is using the FXAA tool, will get an instant crash after the latest Origin update. It's the IGO32.dll file that is causing this. Simply rename it, and problem is solved.

Renaming the igo32.dll did the trick. That .dll is pretty much useless, right?

I want to give you a big hug lol. I haven't been able to play my game at all for at least a week and a half. Seriously, thank you, this is my favorite game series and not being able to play it because of these crashes has been infuriating. Not to mention that it seemed the problem wasn't being addressed by official channels. Where did you find this fix btw? Anyways, hope I'm not jumping the gun but the game started twice with no problems, so thanks a bunch

I get disconected from the ME3 server when I try to play Multiplayer after the update.

And guys, dont celebrate after Alchera7's "fix", we shouldnt have to do that, EA/Bioware should be adressing this, not us.

 THIS worked for me.

EDIT:

Got rid of that fxaa mod entirely.  My game now starts without a problem.

Don't even need to rename that dll as suggested by Alchera7.  Origin just doesn't like that mod.

So after the recent Origin update I did today my game started crashing again. I tried to do the dll trick again and it doesn't work. Anyone to the rescue?

Great. This bull**** is back. Just when I was about to start another playthrough.

Edit: Oops. I was editing the dll in an old install folder of Origin that was on a 2nd HDD. lol silly me. I have it working again.

Multiple .dll files cause origin to crash on me every 5-10 minutes, 30 if I'm lucky. It has crashed during BF3 games and out of games. It has crashed while in a ME3 multiplayer lobby but never when I was actually in a game. If i try to relaunch origin when it crashes in BF3 it automatically crashes again.

I have been keeping a log of all the .dll files that have been crashing, so far it's
SHELL32.dll
QtGui4.dll

I believe there are many more, but I'm not sure, any help would be appreciated.
