Let's not even get into how Liara of all people rescuing Shepard's body and becoming the Shadow Broker is laughable.

But there's other chances in the series for everyone else's favorite characters to die. Liara's invincible right up until the beam. And even then, you have to suck for her to die. (Who get's that low of an EMS?)

Because she cares about you. And your LI just uses you for your Lazarus-enhanced body.

This thread needs more Liara.

Also, lol. If that's the case I would have supported the DLC if it allowed you to pick whichever character you wanted from your current team and replace them with a past squaddie.

If the DLC you want is solely for the option to kill Liara... Unplug your game and do something else. You're irrational anger at the fictional character has gone on long enough, lol

If Liara was only included for about 15 minutes in the game, how would you react?

this guy won't accept the answer. therefore he's asking why liara is invincible when we already know she isn't.

though she was invincible before the EC.

That might be the problem.

Incorrect.

At least try to get your facts straight. All of the squadmates were potential casualties in the beam rush both before and after the EC. The only difference is that there were no cutscenes for those squadmates deaths prior to the EC. Instead Shepard just woke up with his two squadmates laying dead nearby.

Liara could always die in a low EMS playthrough.

Mass Effect 2.

Once upon a time Liara was only in that game for 15 minutes. Of course fans of the character were disappointed, just as fans of either Virmire survivor were disappointed by the Horizon cameos. But you didn't have people who were fans of Liara creating ridiculous threads bashing  the ME2 cast.

What they did do is campaign for DLC, which was partially responsible for the end product in LotSB.

I don't particularly like Liara's character. However though she comes across as rather vacuous I'd hardly label her a 'bad' character. It's the forced, cloying buddy-buddy stuff that really gets under my skin. People don't want her dead because of her intrinsic character, they simply hate her contrived portrayal in the universe generally/with Shepard and how it conflicts with their construction of the pc. She undermines immersion in that sense.

Liara isn't my favorite character, but I don't dislike ANY ME squadmate enough to buy DLC for the sole purpose of having them have a chance to die. Hell, if you don't like her in ME3 let her get killed on the run to the laser.

Instead of trying to tear down other characters or wish for less presence from them, I'd rather Bioware implement methods that would increase the time and interaction other characters could receive.

Here's a novel idea that appeals to both sides of this conflict. Create a DLC and add back Samara, Thane, Kasumi, Zaeed, Grunt, and Mordin from ME2 since they all have large fanbases. Let Wiks do the cure thing on Tuchanka and spare Mordin and make them available right after Mars just like Javik. And top it off with the option to leave Liara in reserve on Mars and Thessia.

Now the Liara haters can shut the **** up, and the Liara lovers like me can take her with us as usual if we so choose.

I like this idea

I used to love Tali and didn't care much for Liara... that was before I read the comics where Liara goes through hell to retrieve your body from being sold to the Collectors. She was the only member of your team that didn't give up on you and became the cold, hardened fighter she is now because of it. After that I'm Liara for life.

anyone else could have done that. TIM easily could have hired someone else. Miranda herself could have stepped in. Heck, The Great Admrial Hackett bad**** as he is, has already saved Shepard more than once. He definitely wouldn't stop now.

I would. No offense to Liara fans, I did not liker her in ME1. ME2 was better because I only had to put up with her for a few missions and a DLC but in ME 3 she was a slight improvement but her brooding, secretive attitude annoyed me further. I think I am the only person who would willingly shove her out the airlock

definitely agree.

Saving Shepard belongs to Liara's arc. If you can't deal with it, choose refusal and pull the plug... Oh wait, you get Liara hologram at the end.

I heard in the new DLC you can actually have Liara in BOTH squadmate slots. Yes, you heard me right - twice as much Liara goodness, complete with amazing and lengthy Liara/Liara banter.

I'd pay double.. scratch that, triple for it! And quadruple if Shepard's replaced by Liara too.

Perhaps you're right. I wouldn't really know. I could barely read my redemption comic through the thick, gooey film of Mac Walters' bodily fluid.

Umm... did you pay attention to the game at all? Unless your favourite character happens to be Vega, EDI or Javik, they already put that into the core vanilla game.

Uh... I guess you didn't notice the countless threads ****ing about ME2 cast, while VS and Liara were getting pushed aside? It's the exact same scenerio now, except now it's the ME2 fans ****ing about Liara.

Your Wrex Quote (signature) that from ME3?
