Once upon a time Liara was only in that game for 15 minutes. Of course fans of the character were disappointed, just as fans of either Virmire survivor were disappointed by the Horizon cameos. But you didn't have people who were fans of Liara creating ridiculous threads bashing  the ME2 cast.

What they did do is campaign for DLC, which was partially responsible for the end product in LotSB.

Uh... I guess you didn't notice the countless threads ****ing about ME2 cast, while VS and Liara were getting pushed aside? It's the exact same scenerio now, except now it's the ME2 fans ****ing about Liara.

Except back then the Liara and VS fans had an entirely new game to look forward to. What do the ME2 cast fans have?

Mac Walters.

And there goes any happiness in my system. Thank you.

Your Wrex Quote (signature) that from ME3?
I don't remember him saying that?

Probably because you didn't kill him.

Yes. Her plot armor is really irritating. She's completely inept as Shadow Broker. Sam would be a better fit.

Liara could be really interesting as a Shadow Broker, but the writers failed to deliver on that role for her.

I don't get why you'd want to kill a character. I don't like Vega, it doesn't mean tho I'd like him dead. You are just showing off everyone.

You've misunderstood then the OP. Should read Page 1 again. OP has addressed such comments in past.

I don't think she can be replaced, but I don't see a reason why the option to get her killed should not be implemented somewhere

Do I want Liara to die? No...

but one of my problems with Mass Effect 3 was that Bioware didn't do anything with it's returning characters. There is no development there is no new and interesting character arcs, and the biggest offenders of this were Liara, Garrus, and Tali. Some could even argue that Liara devolved as a character. When we last saw her in LotSB She was a very powerful, very cunning, and very capable information broker. In Mass Effect 3 she's pretty much upstaged by Traynor at every junction. Traynor finds out about Grissom academy, the ex-cerberus scientists, and about horizon all the while Liara is the most powerful information broker in the galaxy and she can't give us jack squat.

Liara does not have plot armor. And the people saying she does are using the term very clumsily.

Wow, you are a very petty person. Seriously, DLC just to kill a character? You are really in the market for some real world social interaction, apparently.

But yes, I'd like that choice. Even add multiple death scenarios so you can choose the most satisfying way to kill your friends and allies. Maybe even some way of getting Shepard to literally pull the trigger so there's no need to deliberately work towards the goal of getting her killed in action. Like a renegade interupt in some conversation, like when she cries over Thessia.

What the hell if people don't like her just don't use her

To be fair, the game has a tendancy of grabbing the player by the wrist from time to time and going all "you're going to take Liara with you whether you like it or not" on them. I can see how that might get a bit frustrating if you don't actually want her.

But again, not just a specific issue with Liara.

Actually, I've documented this. Although you are forced to take other characters on missions, Liara is by far the worst for this.

James: 2 (Mars, Palaven)
Liara: 4 (Mars, Palaven, Thessia, Eden Prime)
Kaidan/Ashley: 1 (Mars)
EDI: 1 (Cerberus Base)
Garrus: 1 (Palaven)
Tali: 2 (Geth Dreadnought, Rannoch)
Javik: 0

As you can see, you are forced to take Liara two times (and occasionally 4 times) more often than any other squadmate. If you were given the option of going without a full party, though, the count would decrease by one (as the only reason you have to take her on Palaven is that you're given no other option as Javik is not available as an active squadmate until after Palaven is completed).

ETA: And you have the option of not having to take Garrus or Tali anywhere if they've died in ME2. Liara has no such option; you have to take her on these missions no matter what.

It was called ME2.

Though I did avoid killing Garrus. My backup favorite characters... Well, I brought them through 2 ok. I stopped Samara from shooting herself. Thane? Well, y'all know that.

I'd probably avoid killing Liara, but I wouldn't mind having a choice, especially if it was delivered with a big pile of meaningful story and plot, and was well done. I also wouldn't mind having a choice to kill off poor Vega in the same round. That being said... If we do get a character-centric DLC, I'd be just as happy if there was no mandatory manslaughter a la Virmire.

Thank you for understanding. I do though think she can be replace (Hackett) but the fact the choice to be implemented is something should be done.

Yes,

thank you TS2Aggie for that. Amazing how little of Squad members we have in ME3. Yet in ME2 (and ME1) Character Content was much more IMO then ME3

Yeah Liara's plot armor was understandable right up until ME3, so unfortunately, I think I would be entertained by a "Here's-your-chance-to-ditch-Liara" DLC.

Besides, think of the roleplaying possibilities...

The problem is that despite how much I want to ignore Liara, the game doesn't want me to.

Definitely Agree with you man. Actually all your comments I agree with. You understand. It's the Liara Extremists that don't. I laugh since, they really have nothing to argue or complain about. They have their blue alien. I just wanted my favorite Squad member: Wrex, Grunt & Zaeed

others want their LI. While Miranda Fans, Jack & Samara fans, all wish more content. I really don't see how Bioware can't make money from this. These characters have great Potential for 1. Bioware in ranking in $$$. 2. Appealing to us Fans (since they desire this) 3. Why not have Liara killed. Hackett is perfect for replacement.

Okay I'll remove the OPTIONAL DLC content and correct the time.

James: 1.25 (.25 Mars, Palaven)
Liara: 2 (.75 Mars, .25 Palaven, Thessia)
Kaidan/Ashley: 1 (Mars)
EDI: 1 (Cerberus Base)
Garrus: .75 (.75 Palaven)
Tali: 2 (Geth Dreadnought, Rannoch)

Tali and Liara got equal mandatory screen time if you didn't have the "From Ashes" DLC. Now Liara got no screen time as a squad mate in basic ME2, although she did get LOTSB, which is essentially a loyalty mission for her. With "From Ashes" she has 3 missions in ME3.

That's a total of 3 missions in the entire game, so you hate the character and want to kill her off for that.

Maybe I want to kill off Garrus and replace him with Zaeed. That's a DLC I could go for. Garrus doesn't know how to stay in cover and keeps getting the crap shot out of him. I never take him on missions. His AI sucks.
