Nope.  Now, the astute will be quick to note that it was a mass accelerator round that took it out and that this isn't consistent with reaper tech.  However, that assumes Leviathan is a reaper and not the original organic form, an earlier model or something else.

Those paintings resemble Asari to me. The slender bodies and heads. I know, it's CAVE PAINTINGS, but that's what struck me.

Chances are that it could be a long forgotten race from 37 million yrs ago...that's some kind of paint! Ask how, ask now. Ask Sherwin Williams!

game has already confirmed that the Asari were the Protheans chosen heirs - all the Protheans in the temple on Thessia confirmed that - the fact that Asari had prothean VI in beacon but didn't tell anyoen caused this cycle to be at risk.
Given that, its not unrealistic to expect Leviathan to also tie in with ancient protheans 'shaping' their culture to try and focus them into what is needed; a race capable of stopping the reapers.
The large shape you mention reminds me nothing so much as the evil robot in Disney's bomb of a movie the Black Hole - the reason behind the whole reaper mess is the inevitable conflict between organics and synthetics and Leviathan is the last remnant of the race that began the reaper mess, so it makes sense that there would be a representation of synthetic life.

Nope, the DLC dialogue explicitly states that Leviathan is the last of the race that created the Reapers-as-synthetics and the Catalyst. The Reapers started as synthetics that were created in the image of their creators, hence IMHO Leviathan will look like a purely organic Reaper (and of similar size)

The squad makes assumptions near the start of the DLC due to the similar shape and the similar abilities to the Reapers

I speculate the cave painting is Leviathan, (hence people thinking it's a Reaper due to the shape) and the "shell" patterns are precisely that, it's shell

I agree with you, now do you think it's shell is made armour, or just that this species has a shell?
Also, is there any mention on the DLC dialogue about what the giant humanoid thing could be?

Given the way the Reapers structure is mostly in the shell and, and the visual similarities to crustacea I'd say Leviathan has an exoskeleton, and thus a form of natural shell that supports its massive bulk.

Nothing was said about the large figure, however the Leviathans posess a natural ability similar to indoctrination, but more akin to "puppeting" where the victim's mind is "pushed out" while the Leviathan is in control, but the mind can be returned unharmed and with no memory of the control. I summise that indoctrination is a crude synthetic approximation of this ability.

If Leviathan is visiting pre-spaceflight races it's possible it picks up and brings servitors from other races to do it's bidding. The DLC has it controlling miners to assist it, perhaps the tall figure is something similar.

That painting is not of some tall figure as most claim. It's just that figures are drawn in different aspects. The "tall" figure with spear and the injured next to it are drawn to from a closer perspective which make them seem largers. The figures fighting with the reapers are drawn smaller to give scale to size of the reaper. I think you guys are over-reading the meaning of the paintings.

I think you're looking at the wrong figure.  Go to the far right.  There's a dark, vertical retagular stain...look at that figure.

Yes, and their manipulative ability to guide you to their will.

You're right tho tyrvas, it doesn't fit in that regard.

But I said 'a representation of', what I meant by that, is that when Leviathan needed to hide out after going rogue, it could have contacted a different (primitive) race and indoctrinate them to help him cover his tracks when it hid in the planet's core/below surface.

This could be backed up by you needing to travel to multiple planets to find Leviathan, indicating he could have moved around a bit. Or that these cave paintings are of civilizations that came before the colony habitants and that they found these paintings which led them to Leviathan then to Leviathan indoctrinating them.

The Long limbed giant, is a testament to the fragile nature that is primitive art.
