Btw, Shadow not using shadow strike seems like a blasphmey...I mean you have Tactical cloak + shadow strike + a beautiful dodge. What is not to love. Shadow strike + dodge + shadow strike -> dead phantom. Dancing a tango with the phantom and getting the upper hand is a RUSH

THIS is the CORE of the direction I didn't like ME2-3 taking. Spam powers all day long, when powers were supposed to be something special. Back in ME1 I had an Adept that had SPECIAL powers, he could insta-kill 3 enemies with a single throw, but that was a SPECIAL moment, and most of the time it was about shooting your gun anyway.

These slashes are just more annoying to you because they take so much screen space, but ALL the powers are spammed like that, you just don't notice them that much. This can only be fixed by going back to VERY LONG SEPERATE cooldowns, and 300% more empowered powers, but it won't happen. Suck it up?

Do you see people farming platinum with it? No, you do not.....try using biotic/electric slash out in the open in front of a group of enemies or a boss and tell me how that goes for ya. I don't spam because i'm a firm believer in variety and like to use the entire skillset of a class, hence the reason i biotic slash through a wall at that group of primes/pyro's instead of using the charge-phase disruptor combo, at least until they get close.

I don't farm and I don't care how anyone wants to play the game. However, there are certain play styles, spamming Electric Slash for example, that annoy me badly enough that I'll leave a lobby when there's someone in it doing that. Vanguards constantly charging into groups and getting killed is another play style that irritates me enough to make me leave a lobby.

Oh, and let's not forget the maroons with a Katana shotgun who constantly step in front of the guy with a Widow and shoot at an enemy halfway across the map. And no matter where you go, or how many times you move, they're always right there in front of you.

So much to be irritated about, so little time.

I'd be happy to be in a team consisting of 3 shadows spamming nothing electric slash while I play the lone Krogan soldier restricted to medic duty if it means I get to complete plat playthroughs one after another. Ooooh. I placed 4th. Big deal. I still get moolah to buy more plat packs to upgrade (hopefully) my R and UR weapons...and finally unlock that N7 Paladin.

Last i checked, everybody gets the same credit payout regardless if they topped the scoreboard with 900k or placed last with 100 points. Oh and uh....this IS NOT pvp! Last I checked, game balancing is meant for "competitive" games, NOT cooperative games. O.o

If you haven't noticed....you kids got your wishes granted in the form of nerfing the typhoon, destroyer and the pirahnas. What....you want to ensure MP is only playable using avenger X's and overload spam? Oh and the spam nerf?....totally uncalled for.

Yes, you are telling people how to play the game. You're saying that using Biotic Slash/Electric Slash is stupid, and that they need to be nerfed so that you can be pleased. Your title is "Why Biotic and Electric Slash NEED Re-working". That doesn't say "I'm making fun of them" or "I'm just annoyed", it says "I'm whiny and want everything to be done my way."

You're a visual and technical-minded person? You enjoy watching what you're playing? What the hell does any of this have to do with... anything? If that's all you care about, then why are you playing Gold? Just play Bronze Unknown and you'll be much happier. If you aren't playing the game for score (EXP) or Credits, then why are you playing Gold? Let alone farming? That doesn't seem very visually or techincally entertaining, does it?

And I seriously, seriously doubt you see this 8 out of 10 times in non-farming matches.

So don't act all smug and smart when it's obvious you're constantly lying.

Oh, come on, OP. Please don't. You *are* asking for a nerf.

I run a 6/3/6/5/6 build. That's a mere 3 ranks on my Electric Slash, just for the sake of being able to see her do her ballet moves. I primarilly use Shadow Strike, both light and heavy melee attacks, and my Talon. I only seldom, if not rarely, use Electric Slash. It's nice to have the *option* to spam it, specially when in the middle of a clusterf*** enemies that have broken the team's lines.

Please don't request for something that'll ruin at least having that viable option.

Slightly off topic:
Like some of the other posters I have read on this topic and others the past few week(s) I have been lurking before finish setting this account up, I don't understand why bioware wants to discourage farming when this weeks goal is to only reach end of wave 10? I hear this rumor that if you spend actual money on crap then you get better psp/sp gear? Truth to this?

It is a horde mode not tdm, what difference does it make if someones gun that is an ultra rare ( = supposedly more powerful/better, just in case you were confounded by the definition of ultra rare) have to do with you? Them killing everything sure isn't fun but get new friends or play on a higher difficulty. I got rid of a friend who did that because they would go on bronze with lvl 4 ammo bonus,etc they wasted real money on and basically kill everything. Typhoon etc on bronze is definitely overkill but those weapons were geared for gold/plat difficulty. They are designed to kill things with. Though I'd love all my friends and I had Typhoons, turn bronze/silver into a 10-15min affair respectively. When I get a new job that would be ideal situation.

On topic: I use a slayer for the simple fact that I do farm fbw/g/g because I refuse to spend an entire 4000 pt card on random crap that I wouldn't want in first place instead of weapons/gear/char I do want to play for fun with. And that is how/why most of us are forced to do it. Because of people that do nothing but play this game so they think everything must be nerfed so they have a challenge. Or because some random got more kills than they did with an awesome gun and that hurt their precious ego. Tired of their defense of screaming for "balance". All the guns are slowly creeping towards being the same because of this, then wtf is the point?? Bioware should have just left the weapons stock like those other games with horde mode then there would be nothing to complain about. Screw it, you want balance, play your plat games with avenger X or that shruiken. There's your challenge.

Let the rest of us who play silver/gold for fun (its my goal to be good enough for fun on gold) have our beastly weapons and characters. Not all of us have every weapon at lvl 10 nor equip-able gear/weapon mods at lvl 5. Hell out of my 15-20 gear atleast 10 is still at lvl 1. Pistol, Sniper couple others are at lvl 2. 1 is lvl 3 and that is hydralic joints for melee dmg. I've seen people on here talk about soloing gold....wtf are you kidding me?? Are you autistic? Or do you just refuse to leave the couch? You smell don't you?

Jeez ya know, farcry 3 and borderlands 2, etc....comes out in a month and so many will leave this game and it will be the hardcore and the noobs left. Aside from those of us who care enough to play on operation weekends. And the noobs aren't going to know why their guns suck horribly or why their powers are crap, they are just going to think the game sucked and that's why no one plays it anymore. ME3 mp will just be a footnote in this once awesome trilogy.

Now honestly, how much do you love this game/universe/story? Because you are ruining it. I have played all 3 multiple times, and had this since day 1. Played the demo. Could not wait for this game but now all I can think about is how its being run into the ground and how much I want september to get here.

And yes I do spam that biotic slash through the wall because....well....I dont wanna die.... and while bioware could have removed the shaky camera effect but that would mean people had no reason to complain about that character and it would be a beast. So maybe complainants of kill steals but jesus, you still get a crap load of xp and credits. Snipers could sit behind the other desk and shoot at them as they come in.

I know I repeated same thing retic did, my bad. Though I did expand on it. I ranted, got it out of my system and I'll go back to lurking.

Though as a side note, I only play with people I know that way I know they dgaf and are even happy that I spam biotic slash. (hint it keeps them alive and ensures we live to the end) Because those of us who dont have a typhoon cannot chew a prime/atlas/banshee down in minutes...Let alone 3-5 per wave.

Other players aren't allowed to get any kills? You want all the kills for yourself while your teammates just stand there with their thumbs up their asses? If you can't play with other people then stick to single player. Stop making all these stupid ass threads.

It probably needs a range reduction and a recharge speed drop honestly. Right now a monkey could play this class and do fairly well just by smashing a single button.

Increase the Slayer/Shadow hitpoints/barriers/shields considerably so they can more easily survive being exposed to CQC, and I see no reason why slash couldn't take a delay penalty. Higher difficulties the Slayer/Shadow dies way too fast for what they were intended to do.

It's not a big deal. I support the use of slash powers on teams that I join. At the end of the day it still helps you out, no? You have an opinion, and I respect it, but what I don't respect is the lack of thought put into a topic like yours. Remember the Krysae? The day it came out people were complaining it was OP, so respectively, they nerfed the sh*t out of it. And so of course, to this day, the same people that were begging for debuffs are crying for buffs. The day they debuffed it a SECOND time, I was all smiles as they got even more aggravated. Just goes to show you how stupid these complaints really are.
