That line makes no sense whatsoever. It shows a complete lack of understanding the concept of hope. You either have hope, which can drive you, or you don't.

The line Anderson says when he died he reminds me of someone I use to know was sort like him and I cried when he die.
And when Shepared says "Theres no Shepard without Valkarian" to Garrus because Garrus is my favorite character and LI

"Had to be me. Someone else might have gotten it wrong."
"Does this unit have a soul?"
I fight for freedom. Mine, and everyone's. I fight for the right to choose our own fate. And if I die, I'll die knowing that I did everything I could to stop you. And I'll die free." (Sad because it was a missed opportunity on Bioware's part)

This, very much so. It was painful enough before the EC. I really needed to see her get some happiness after that.Forst1999 wrote...
Tali in the EC: "I have a home." (By the way, i'd like the hit the german translator who basically made this "I have a house". It ceases to make sense this way...)
When does Tali say that in the EC?
If romanced she says that when being evacuated on the Normandy. Shep tells her to return to Rannoch and build herself a home.

"You did good son, you did good. I'm proud of you..." - Anderson.
"I am the very model of a Scientist Salarian *Explosion*" - Mordin
"There's no Shepard without Vakarian...and if I'm up there in that bar and you're not, I'll be looking down. I'll always have your back" - MaleShep to Garrus
"I wanted you to have a normal life. Marriage, children. Things I could never have." - Miranda (if she dies)
One thing ME3 nailed was the emotions with some of the characters.

Saddest line in the entire franchise right there. Followed up only by Conrad Verner's spiel about thermal clips and why they're awful. Sad because its true, but its been relegated to easter egg status over in a dark corner of the Citadel.

"Good. because I wasn't really joking..I want the white picket fence and the two kids and the dog.."
Who said that line?
Sam Traynor to a Romanced Shep in the CIC just before you send the Victory fleet to Earth.
I guess she's talking adoption? No wonder I never saw this line....

The cycle continues
followed by quite a sad music and Shepard just standing there with no options left.
Not sure if anyone agrees but that was quite a sad scene imo

Was wondering, who says that line?
Miranda to her sister.
Never heard that line before. The fact it was Miranda who said that just made the line even more sad
For some reason I thought it was Shepard saying it.

Kind of going outside the scope of this thread, since it is an entire scene rather than a single line. But I thought it deserved a mention.
It is also one of the best scenes in the game. That is why I'd have Javik touch the echo shard every time, even if the memories make him suicidal.

Ok, pretty certain he knows what it's supposed to mean, but what it means is you can make one of the other stupid choices. Hope is pretty much gone.dreman9999 wrote...

Saddest line might actually have been in ME2-"Joker, lose this channel", because I thought it might lead to a different game than what we got.
