According to this Game Informer article there will be technical fouls via Kinect which is pretty cool.

Only voice commands. I'm starting to think that's all it's good for as far as hardcore games are concerned.BatmanPWNS wrote...

talks about the reasoning behind the new control scheme as well as talking about new signature skills being implemented into NBA 2K13.

I'm indifferent to Madden at this point and NBA Live is just sad. I've heard good things about NHL and FIFA but I haven't played either of those kinds of sports games since around 2003-2004.Imperial Sentinel Arian wrote...
We can't just put EA sport games away, can we?! Fifa is a must have every year for me, other addicts like NBA, NHL and Dat American Football.

I hope 2K will make it more challenging this time round, and keep up the good work they've been doing on My Player. It's quite a lot of fun. They need to fix the cheating on the AI's end, but that's pretty much it.

I've only encountered that online. As far as offline defense goes, defense always felt a little inefficient no matter who you were using or who you were defending. I don't want defense to feel cheap but I do want to feel capable playing on-ball defense.bussinrounds wrote...
Will you actually be able to play some man to man defense without feeling like your sliding around on ice this year ?

Well I never even played online and it felt that way to me. They need to implement proper foot planting, enough with that sliding around bs. Playing on ball defense was terrible and letting the cpu do that all the time is just lame.J. Reezy wrote...

They should focus on core gameplay issues before even starting with any of the gimmicky crap.

The foot planting and cheap cpu defense looks to be addressed if these insights and the gamescom videos are any indication. I haven't seen any excessive bumping from the cpu, of course I'll need to get my hands on the demo to have a more proper impression. People at Gamescom tend to not know how to play basketball games properly.bussinrounds wrote...

Speed definitely looks like it matters now. The excessive bumping by the CPU on the perimeter looks like it is gone which is great.
