I don't know how create-a-player itself works regarding signature skills but when you create a guy for My Career I believe you buy your signature skills.ev76 wrote...
Have not played a basketball video game in years, but this looks like it will be a great game. So if you can create a player can you slap on signature skills on him off the bat or how does that work? Thinking about giving this a shot looks great.

Ah, cool been better if you can get one skill off the bat then practice to achieve others. Wonder if there is a cap on how many you can obtain or buy for your created player. Anyway thanks for the info and your thread. Don't think I would of thought of getting this game if not for your thread.

I agree with "RPG of the year." They made great improvements to MyPlayer with 2k12 and I was hoping for more improvements going forward to this year!

I suppose I have something to play if I get bored with xcom 
I hope they allow us to simulate individual games. I liked that I didn't need to play EVERY game in 2k12, but only playing in the "key matchups" meant I pretty much only played against the same teams all the time.

Well this has impressed me enough. Will pre order, only thing left to find out is: will I will be able to take my player into online match ups. Be cool to have games against other players online with your created players.

I hope the PC version of 2k13 is cleaned up this year. Because with the fan patches it is so much better than the console versions, but for whatever reason 2k12 had terrible framerate issues for me whenever I used a headset. So I had to choose no sound or terrible framerate lag.

Last basketball game I played had the flaming red and blue powered up basketballs and the player with a basketball for a head.

Has anyone tried the demo? It was out yesterday? If so what did you guys think? I for one thought that the dribbling with the right stick felt a lot like FIFA 12 right stick dribbling moves. I was pretty comfortable with the control as far as dribbling. Although shooting took a bit to get used with the right control stick (first time trying out nba2k)haha, and was not able to dunk. Over all very fun and entertaining first quarter game against other players. The physics of the game really shows off in the demo

Just the icing on an already great looking cake. I have a feeling the ability to order real life versions of your virtual creation will see a lot of use. Shoes look top notch this year. Now hopefully they'll move on to correcting accesory colors.

The shoes one is interesting. That Nike will custom make your shoes is crazy.
Although there's obviously different audience appeal, since to me I see "it's nice and all" while it seems to be getting hyped up a lot lol.
