I dunno if its just me, but while playing though on a throwaway game and making use of the Krysae, I noticed that whenever I took a shot on Guardians, the shot wasnt breaking through their shield and was exploding harmlessly on the wrong side.

Do Armor Powers not work with this gun?

Armor Penetration does not work with this gun, nor any projectile shooting gun like GPS, Graal, Adas, ect.

Well that certainly puts a damper on the love I have for that gun, not that its much of a damper since asploding rounds still hurt when you miss.

Yeah the weird thing is I have sniper rifle peircing mod on the gun and I'm using Armor peircing rounds and it still doesn't work hopefully Bioware fixes this.

As far as I know, all projectile weapons (including the Krysae, Graal, Geth Plasma Shotgun) do not benefit from innate AP mods or AP ammo. As such, use different mods/ammo with those weapons.

One thing I haven't confirmed is whether explosive sticky projectiles like the Scorpion or Acolyte benefit from AP mods/ammo, but my guess is that they don't.

The Scorpion and Acolyte do not benefit from AP mods/ammo either. No gun that shoots an projectile can penetrate.

They gain the armor damage benefit from AP ammo and AP mods, but not the penetration benefit. So still worth it if you're facing lots of armored targets.

The Krysae still works against guardians with their shields up. You just gotta aim at an odd spot. Good luck figuring it out. :)

(Yes I do know it, but yes, I am a troll and won't tell you.)

They don't need to. Any gun that shoots special rounds (grenades, metal spikes, electricity, and I think plasma) isn't supposed to be affected by AP mods or ammo

You can't give projectile weapons (Krysea, GPS, Graal, Kishock) cover penetration with piercing mods or AP ammo. As for the damage bonus effects, supposedly you do get those bonuses, at least in MP. But it would more sense to use a different ammo power.

Mail Slot or feet. Not hard to figure out where to shoot when you have a round that goes BOOM.

Could you not shoot over the guardian's heads for airburst splash damage? The Krysae round seems to have a proximity fuse, as you can fire over fixed cover and still affect a target, but I don't know whether if you aimed over the Guardian it would explode in front of or behind and above the shield. I shall have to try it out.

Thats really long range if its blowing on its own, in which case you have more pressing issues to deal with. When they are in range, Mail Slot and Feet shots are the shots to take. One is the obvious head shot, the other is getting around its annoying shield in a meaningful manner.
