I just want to recommend you a game Sleeping Dogs - game about undercover cop that has a task to work out a triads from inside, but because mission takes a very long time, he becomes to much attached to gang and it becomes his second family. So he has a dilemma - betray his new family or betray his morals and police forces.

Here you can find a trailer:

Game takes a place in Hong Kong and it's inspired by my favorite film of the all time - Infernal Affairs.

I just want to promote this game because I love movies from HK. Also games about cops are rare this days (especially games with a real plot).

Pre-ordered this.

Saw the first live action trailer and the release live action trailer. Bioware, that is how you do live action.

When i saw that Engineer trailer for ME3, i just laughed, a poor looking Shepard shooting what i think is a fire grenade?

Can anyone suggest on Hong Kong Cinema films that can capture the brutality of the fighting?

I am hyped for this game, the graphics for an open world look great and the combat looks fun, now i just need to wait until i can see the story.

Do you mean fist fighting or gun fighting?

Both would be great but fist fighting like in the live action trailers would be great.

Users be hella cluttering the forums by not using the search function tbh. Topics here, here, here, and here.

That first link with the trailer was great, love Slimgrims short description.

'I want out'

'No'

'gratuitous violence'

The guy in that trailer does not look like Wei like the first guy does.

I don't think anyone cares if it clutters the forum. Don't use tbh.

But I love using "tbh" tbh.

Edit: Your assertion that no one cares about clutter is obviously false.

If you're expectations haven't been set too high you'll probably find it pretty enjoyable. I know I have so far.

F*cked around forever with settings and mapping controls. Seems pretty good so far. The strong points right off the bat are graphics, atmosphere, fighting, running/parkour, and voice acting. It's not as slick as Arkham City as for the fighting, but much better than what other open world games employ. There's some nice diagonal mobility while in a crowd of enemies that's lacking in both Arkham City and TW2. Driving is a weak point and lacks the handling and physics of SR3 - it's almost too arcadey. There's multiple functions mapped to a couple keys, never a good idea. The menus don't have full mouse support for some odd reason. My biggest beef is with the camera's autocenter when running or driving. Drives me nuts as I want full control of the camera at all times. I don't see a setting to turn it off unfortunately. I'll just have to get used to it.

Overall a fair PC port really as it has a decent array of graphical settings and you can map the keys. I'm liking the story too.

That auto-center is definitely a little jarring. I've been enjoying the drug busts and searching for jade statues so far. The story has been pretty solid for me as well.

I'm not sure about it. Looks good, though. Combat a bit reminds me of Arkham Asylum.

Really excited for this. Love Hong Kong cinema and games like this don't come out too often, much less here in the west. Gonna order from Amazon ASAP.

Played it for 4-5 hours today . I was pleasantly surprised to discover such a great game. So far I find it very engaging . It kinda "borrows" successful and proven elements and mechanics from other titles and masterfully integrates them into the open world experience without feeling like a rip-off. I recommend this game to any open-world enthusiast and simply to people that like good stories in video games.

I am pleased to read the PC version runs great (for the most part) but I'll still be waiting for a Steam sale. The videos I've been watching look fun but just not enough to entice me at full price.

Can`t even  play it more than 10 min, sometime 1 minutes ... Keep crashing. So I basically donated 50$ to square enix.. Because you know they are poor. Anyway. I will get my money back somehow, someday. **** em.

A lot of ppl would have loved that 50 $ you know. People who are hungry right now. Has someone who starved at some point during my life this ****** me off even more.

I like reviews like this that convey more of a general experience with the game. Some reviews can be too spoilerish.

I was looking at Total Buiscut's WTF is... on this and I want to get it but I doubt my machine can run it so you know their evil incarnate

I'm actually surprised how much I like this game. Unfortunately I've had one glitch where I had to reload because I couldn't progress. But so far that's been my only problem with this game. The environmental kills are amazing. I highly recommend this to anyone that likes open world games.

Well I'm done with it unless I feel like playing with a gamepad, because after a few hours there's simply no denying the mouse controls are atrocious. You are constantly fighting the camera, until you realize the only solution is to not use your mouse at all. That means all you can do when running or driving is look straight ahead. I've never run into a game with this problem and it's beyond pathetic.
