Yeah it took a while for guns to come into play which I really like.Rockworm503 wrote...
Watched a stream and I'm sold. Several hours of watching someone dick around in free roam and didn't even see guns. I'm buying this when I get a chance. I doubt it'll work on my PC but thats ok thats what I have a PS3 for.

For those who are still wondering if they will buy the game: I can totally recommend you to buy it. Really one of the best games of this year.

Same. I've been following TheRadBrads Lets plays on this game, and I'm totally sold now lol. Gonna order the game today.
But I can't wait for Resident Evil 6 either!! =O
Here's his playlist if interested. Always has good commentary for his vids. Less annoying than that "PewDiePie" P****. Can't stand his voice/accent.

My only complaint was that the dates were to short. Also the game left me a feeling of wanting more. Hopefully the game sells well so a sequel can be made.
PS.Also loved the soundtrack.

Then Bioware should do Sleeping Dogs 2... Err wait... would that sound right? Would anyone want that? Nah lol. Stick to the cinematic games like ME.

I don't want BioWare anywhere near Sleeping Dogs, unless it's just to get fighting mechanic ideas for a certain chinese inspired game.Bushido Effect wrote...

Lol, if only Jade Empire have this kind of fighting mechanics.

Other than that, it's a beautiful mix of original True Crimes, GTA IV, Just Cause 2, and Arkham City. I'm looking forward to the sequel, since the reception to this game is what caused Rock* to release their GTAV screens.
Best GOTY of the year so far, but we've still got Dishonored, AC3 and Hitman: Absolution to look forward to.

Its not my GOTY, but enjoying it. But clearly my biggest difficulty in the game so far is remembering which side of the road to drive on.

It looks like an extremely asian version of GTA.

I'm in the UK so that's no problem for me. Apparently this was actually a contentious issue during development, they weren't always going to have it this way. Personally I'm glad Square and United Front chose to be authentic rather than kowtowing to the American market, and I still would be even if i wasn't in the UK.
As for the game, yeah it's quite good so far. On PC the driving can be difficult at times, and the shooting mechanics are rather poor, but the melee combat is good fun. I haven't finished it yet, but I'm close. Wonder if it'll get a sequel. We'll see how it compares to GTA V next year (though honestly I think it'll be alot better, even though Sleeping Dogs is a decent game.)

Thanks to the controls, I think the most brutal act of violence in my game so far was when I accidently ran over two pedestrians with a moped of all things. Both funny and horrifying.
But I did appreciate the realism of the ambulance rushing to them afterwards.
Fun game though, and the city looks just fabulous. The martial arts are great. No idea on guns, since the only one I saw being fired was in a cutscene.
