What diffuculty you play the game on will greatly influence your experiance. Therefore I have allways been troubled by the lack of depth in the setting of said variable. I know that the new player couldn't care less about the difficulty as long as he's having fun, but what about us nerds? I think the game would be even more intresting if we could adjust the difficulty just as we want it. As long as I'm not missing anything that are four things influenced by the difficulty setting:
  • Friendly fire
  • Damage bonus
  • Healing penalty
  • Enemy AI
I understand that the general setting easy/normal/hard/nightmare exists and they should stay! All I want is the be able to customize them (for example: full FF,  best AI, no damage bonus for enemies, normal healing). This should not be so hard to do!

PS. At least in DA we dont have to play on the lower settings to unlock the higher ones so I guess it's improving!

I wanted to play on Normal with full FF damage, but since that wasn't available I've been playing on Hard. It's worked out for me, but I still think that being able to customize the way that you suggest would be a nice touch.

Customizing the options would be great.

I started a run on normal, and now playing on Hard, which l find much more rewarding. Ill try Nightmare with a new start after RTO is released.

I'm playing nightmare with no potions and having a blast. (I sell all potions and injury kits every time I meet a vendor and never use any). The other house rule I abide by is that my entire party has to survive every fight or I have to reload and try again til they do. Certain fights are definitely "interesting" under those constraints.

I wish more people would follow this lead....instead of demanding/moaning/etc about what should be, youve actually taken it upon yourself to make changes that suite you.

Good work sir:)
