It's me again.  Apologies for asking you guys these constant tech gadget questions but I get better info from you folks than I do from the mfg's web-sites.  Anyways...

My sister told her youngest (11-yrs old) he could not have a PSP until he got straight A's.  Guess what?  Oh yeah!  I want to buy it for him for Christmas.  Hard to believe he does not have one yet but he does not.

So... anything you can tell me that I should know?  Price isn't really a problem.

Thank you, again.

Do not buy the PSPGo.

Get one of the older models.

Yep, PSP-3000 series is the one to get. It has a vastly superior screen than the earlier models (PSP-1000 & PSP-2000). The new PSPGo looks like an over-priced redesign with no real improvements. It would be handy to buy a large (4-8 Gb) memory stick for it too so he's got lotsa room for saves and demos and stuff.

Oh, and don't buy any movies for it on UMD. It's better just to put movies on the memory stick.

I've heard good things about Final Fantasy Dissidia.

Get spare batteries and a charger too because the PSP chews through battery power very quickly, more so than the DS. It's probably better to get a second hand one which has custom firmware just for the flexibility. But you didn't hear that from me:bandit:
