I have the Indra X and it is easily one of the best guns in the game. on a GI with Warp Rounds it shreds Phantoms, Atlases, Banshess and basically any enemy. don't listen to ANYONE hating on the indra now.

You have it at X.  How many people have it at X?  And you're still having to say "with (arguably) the best ammo in the game) it shreds stuff.  I think you just painted a more negative picture of it than the "haters".

That's true of ANY high RoF weapons...Slap an ammo consumable on them and they become much better whereas single shot/low RoF weapons don't increase in effectiveness that much...

Haha that's exactly my loadout OP. Sal. Inf. with Indra & Tempest. Spec'ed for cloak damage and energy drain. Love the Indra, accurate in bursts and can be hip-fired in a pinch.

How many cloak bonus Indra shots can a GI get out in one cloak?

with rate of fire bonus, at least one and half clips, probably close to 2.
that would be about 40 bullets.

Can anyone confirm this? It doesnt sound right.

It is an effective sniper rifle to use in a gold match. On platinum I would still prefer to take a shotgun or a good assault rifle

The Indra is the best example of Bioware balancing a weapon properly. It started off as a pretty bad weapon that made you curse the RNG system for wasting a black card on it, and now its one the better sniper rifles, but with its own niche to separate it from the other ones like the BW.

I love the gun on my Destroyer. My Indra is lvl 3 and on Bronze, I had 20+ head shots and 75+ kills :-) I carry my (recently nerfed, but still very effective) Fish Gun for close encounters. On gold, it still rocks, with the EB and AP mods, rof, and dam buffs from the destroyer absolutely make the gun a menace. Even without stability equipment, it is one of the flatest firing fully automatic rifles. No other gun in the game can put more shots down range and on target than the Indra. I don't have the Harrier, so I can not attest to a comparison between the two. But with all my guns, it is the most effective gun. I love my Indra :-)

Yeah, it isn't. I just tested it and you get about 10-12 bullets off per cloak.

Finally, the Indra gets the respect it deserves.

Fills a role no other gun can, easy to use, deadly when you learn how to headshot down range. It's light, too.

Damage bonus. Not cloaked time. Damage bonus stays in effect a few seconds after the cloak breaks.

Your bonus extends to after you decloak. You can get a full magazine of cloaked shots with a RoF GI. But even RC-ed, probably not the second clip.

Edit : Damn ninjas.

I made a host quit with a GI (4 points in cloak) + Indra X on wave 5 Gold/Cerberus. Maybe the player had some personal issues that forced him/her out of the game or maybe I looked like a cheater having such a high score with only an 'Indra'. Gun is OP on Gold, haven't used it much on Platinum.

I finaly got the Indra a half hour or so ago, and as it happens I was still on my "Turian Fanboy" skit and while its no paranha it was alot of fun and absolutely lethal against packs of low to medium grade baddies, especially if I chucked a proxy mine into them before unloading with the puppy. In all likelyhood it will be my gold camping weapon for maps were I know people are going to hunker down and almost never move (IE giant, white, rio, ect ect) if only due to the sheer madness that is its spare clip capacity.

Paranha will still be king of glacier and other tight maps or ones ill expect to do alot of moving around on, nothing says ah crap like running into a banshee with a SR and a character who cant roll (or hop, why you no hop turian soldier?).

I loved my Indra BEFORE the buff. Not its just amazing. You won't get a lot of head shots with it but it takes down minions and bosses easily on Gold. Just add the piercing mod and the extended barrel and your good to go. Works great with casters as well I like to use it with my justicar.

It's one of those weapons that furthur emphasises the non-scoping damage penalty.

Good on a manquarineer

It's the best sniper and it's light enough to use as a secondary on most classes. Most likely it's a little op.

Have to say the indra is awsome especially when used with a geth, its just lethal, cant wait to get the upgraded versions since mines only level 1.

This gun has definitely come a long way. I remember initially when this gun first came out and I loathed the thought of getting it in a SP / PSP, and now it's become one of my favorite guns.

Low weight which allows it to be used on many classes, high rate-of-fire, good DPS; good, medium-range scope that works well on both smaller & larger maps, superb extra ammo capacity, recoil that's more than manageable... There's not much else to ask for, and after its most recent buff, I now see it worthy of being an Ultra-Rare.

Agree 100%.  I absolutely hated the Indra the first time I tried it.  Now I pray for an upgrade with every PSP I buy.  Perfect weapon for the Drell.

As for its hip shot penalty, that's what the Piranha is for. Knowing when to switch between guns is part of the fun, no?

The hipfire penalty is a dumb mechanic in any case. It shouldn't exist.

This. I mean, what is the penatly trying to simulate? That a bullet leaves a sniper rifle with less velocity if you don't look through the scope? It's just mindlessly dumb.

It's pretty good now, IMHO. It's a good trade-off between moderate damage vs. light weight. In platinum, it's easier to use, since the boss-rush is a big problem for slow-firing SRs.

On gold, I'm not sure it's really any better than the Valiant, since it's not as good for headshots. In terms of damage, shotguns are still way better.

I've got an Indra 1, and it's great, especially if you can land headshots. If i had it at a higher level, i'd most likely never use another sniper rifle.

No, the bullet leaves with the same velocity.  But the care with which you observe the impact increases the damage.  If you had the hubble mounted on your face you'd get one shot kills on everything in plat.

Have it at X. It's a nasty little toy now, much more so than it used to be. Having it ranked makes some difference of course, but still.

Respectable damage and lightweight (especially for an SR). My issue with it is the mechanics though, not the damage. Those smoke trails after every bullet tend to kill visibility (along with the effect on impact) and on the XBox the crosshair tends to pan rather slowly when zoomed in, making keeping those rounds on moving targets a bit of a pain.

I use it on Gold, but I prefer heavier hitters for Platinum.
