 I find the multiplayer characters their design not optimal.
With the new DLC's there are also to many characters.

Let me explain myself.

For a game the items (in this case characters) all have to be diffirent from each other in terms of the way they are played the best. Items should not be better than each other, there should not be an optimal item.
However for a certain play style an item will be more efficient in confirming the play style than other items. And all the play styles have to be overall balanced. So in ME3 MP a lot of the characters share the same playstyle and therefor there will be an optimal character, which makes the other character completely useless. Which makes them useless to be in the game.

There is an execption to this! If the similar item is just for prestige or for awesomeness, it is allowed.

Also a lot of characters of diffirent classes share the same powers. So if a player choses the combinatio nof those 2 powers and ignores the two other, the two classes will be the same, and because you level up according to each class, this will give the player the ability to play as character that doesn't completely fit the class play style. 

sidenote: I hate it that the ammo bonusses are supplies, therefor in my own list of MP characters they will have the ability to use ammo bonus as power. 
In my MP character list there are characters like protheans and yaghs, I expected them to be in ME3, yaghs would be uplifted like the krogans and I thought you would find a large facility of cryo portheans.
