I found some positives about the Destroyer's Missle Launcher

damage is useless on this thing, but the utility is amazing. now if we can just get them to make it fire 1 missile per second instead of 3 per 3...

You have to play smart with the ML. Leaving it running all the time in anything other than Bronze is generally a no no. If you're facing a large group or you are getting hammered from 3 or more side, it's good to turn it off and on as needed until you're in a better fighting situation.

I'll post mine tomorrow, though I doubt it will be liked. I run with a Herrier II and with careful aim, you can wreck just about anything in short order. Just know where your ammo boxes are.

To any class or build there is good side and a weak side. We all enjoy different playing styles and that's one of the things that BW has tried to facilitate in this game. The ability to customize to our favored style. I like to use Assault rifles and I'll augment my loadout according to my foreseeable advantage.

. Even if reduces you sheilds by 50% the N7 Destroyer has more than 1000 shields half of that, 500, is around the average of most caracthers. After learning when to turn off and when to use it, can be a very useful. It sure does not do a lot of damage, but has a several tactical uses.

The Destroyer is simply a boring class without the Missile Launcher. Multi-Frag Grenades may in fact be more potent overall, but they are incredibly boring to play with.

I actually like the missiles. It staggers enemies, so it's easier to kill them, or you can focus for the few seconds on other enemy.

It does nothing. Just cycles looking for a target.

not to mention I don't have to fight with the grenade box and demolisher over grenades anymore. Multi-grenades are overrated

ZOMGSHOULDERMISSILES were the main reason I wanted the Destroyer in the first place.  I don't even care if the missiles are buffed to do more damage, I just want them to fly in a more reasonable arc that stops them from running in to walls 75% of the time.  :blink:

If the shield penalty were dropped down to 35% base, and the base damage buffed from 150 to 175. I'd probably take them over multi-frags. Or at least split points between them.

As it is it affects my walking-tankness far too negatively and since I use multifrags quite a lot right now, would pull points from fitness or training, neither of which would be very good at all.

Has anybody done tests on this to find out what the shield penalty really is? The geths shield penalty is only vs base shields, if you were to spec full fitness, then the difference would be pretty negligible. Is it the same with the destroyer class?

I normally spec into missiles when I level up my destroyer from 18-20 and I never really noticed any survivability loss(I spec damage on Devastator mode and full fitness every time). Which seems to indicate to me that it just takes 500 shields away.

Yeah, and if you take 4a, you only lose 100 shields.

His post was made when the Shield Penalty after 4a was 35%. Now the Shield Penalty after 4a is only 10%. Hawk Missile Launcher was garbage back then, now it is very decent.

Nearly all of them are named crashsuit. It's a weekly ritual, apparently.

 

Also, wonderful thread logic. Both statements are allegedly  true:

 

Fitness is for scrubs, shields don't help you survive at all.

Hawk Missile Launcher costs shields, therefore is garbage.
