I appreciate the reply but my reading of your initial post does not change my opinion I'm afraid.Ninja Stan wrote...
Read my long-winded post again. Your belief is largely immaterial when developers triage bugs. That's the way it happens much of the time, in my experience.
This isn't a visual glitch, which while annoying doesn't affect the gameplay. The drone glitching under the map is game-breaking in that it prevents the team from winning no matter what they do.
I don't mind failing because I wasn't good enough but it is highly annoying to lose because of a bug that either somehow wasn't spotted or wasn't considered important enough to fix.

Even better, it happened while I was recording the game.

My most hilarious glitch was on Virmire in ME1, when Ashley decided to walk through a railing and die for being out of bounds. She would then revive there, and immediately die again. Saving and reloading fixed it.
Even better, it happened while I was recording the game.
It was as if she just went "I've just had enough" and jumped.

Yes, I agree, it is annoying to have bugs that prevent progress. And I'm not providing this information to excuse BioWare from having made mistakes or to dismiss legitimate issues being reported. I'm just trying to correct some of the misinformation and jumping to conclusions that often happens in the forum. But as I mentioned, there are any number of reasons how and why it may have happened. That may not make you feel any better about it, but I have found that knowing more about the hows and whys something happens allows you to to have better discussions about it.voteDC wrote...

guess what?
half way through one of the later levels I get stopped at an elevator, because I guess one of the geth got pushed off of the catwalk.
I can't kill him.. and I can't open the elevator.
so now I must start at the beginning of the level, which pissed me off to no end.
FIRE YOUR GAME TESTERS!!!
IF THEY MISSED THIS...GOD KNOWS WHAT ELSE THEY MISSED!!!!!
Seriously, calm the **** down.
I love Mass Effect as much as the next person (possibly more than some people), but and the end of the day it's just a video game and bugs/errors/problems will happen, it's inevitable. No game is perfect and getting all uppity over it is pointless.

At any rate, passions still run high in our fan base, so huzzah! ME3! (With rekindled interest in future story DLC.)

I'm hoping some of the issues can be fixed by patching but I would be more than willing to keep aesthetic bugs than have crashes, PC or console reboots, and lockups.
Testers are not the enemy. The 22 + hour work day sucks major. Round the clock testing (2 shifts), sleeping under your desk or on a couch at the office. Testing isnt for the weak.
I have total respect for testers. I've been in their shoes.

I'm sorry you're experiencing a problem like that. Out of curiosity, what mission is this on?
Luckily you should be able to access your autosaves. We've built in quite a few of them so that the loss of progress due to death in combat (or, in this case, being unable to progress due to a bug you encounter) is minimal.

Just a little note: moderators like Selene Moonsong and Ninja Stan don't actually work on the games. They are just moderators for the BioWare social forums (I don't know if BioWare pays them, but I would guess that it's mostly a volunteer thing). People who are actually paid by BioWare and work on the games have the "BioWare" tag when they post, like Sylvf and Jos. Some people in this thread seem to be getting that confused.
Stanley did in fact work on Bioware games, ME3 included. His former account was known as Stanley Woo.

Believe it, or not. I haven't had a single bug in ME3, just one crash. ONE! That is a perfect A in my world.crypticcat 2o2p wrote...
Lemme see here:
Getting stuck talking to Edi or Joker.
Having to reload the game to turn in the fed-ex quests.
Having to reload the game to be able to use doors. (Funny thing that in critical areas doors are suddenly automatic... Hmmmmm)
Monsters getting stuck become unkillable. Morinth Shields is a good example.
But F5 is my friend... clear a section, hit F5. The problem I have with that is that I'm not using F5 because I just did awesome or hard, I use F5 because ME3 can at any moment stop doing what it is supposed to do, characters not vocalizing their entire lines not included.
I believe that a quick save is to safeguard your progress IN the game, not to safeguard your progress FROM the game. For a studio like Bioware, it is just not good enough. They are not some unknown indie with a fluke-title sleeper hit, they are a high-profile triple A studio.
More is expected.
ME2 crashed at least a hundred times for me by now... and ME1... don't let me start.
For all its complexity I have to say that ME3 is a very fine piece of work, and it has (while not always in the mood to talk), an amazing crew behind it. Buy yourself some other games of this complexity, if you find any, and try to keep your buglist singlesided.
P.S.: The highly reviewed Skyrim is a great start if you are into writing bug novels. Just saying...

The only glitch I can't understand is that Liara always gets stuck in the Mars mission for me. EVERY time. Since I haven't heard any others complain about that, I figure it only happens to me.
