Hi there, this is not an immensely serious problem, but certainly an annoying one.

Whenever I run ME2, it tries and fails to log into the Cerberus Network. After it fails, I CAN manually log in successfully, unlike most people with this error. Does anyone have any idea what causes this, or how to fix it?

The message I get when it fails is:
"Communication with the Mass Effect 2 server was interrupted or timed out. Please Try again later."

I'm experiencing same symptoms. I can log in manually and i have to do it every damn time i start ME2. It sure is annoying.

This is a very common problem. I think maybe every PC owner gets this, or most of them. Perhaps not, but I think it is a server problem common to us all.

There appears to be no real solution, only things that make it work once before failing again. You could try moaning at Bioware but I don't think they're listening re. ME2 anymore. Bigger fish and all that.

I'm getting this now too, but I didn't used to. The first 2 years I owned this game, it never happened. Something's changed.

It's happening to me too, I bought the Digital Deluxe edition today via Steam, and I can't log in. It's getting annoying to pay for a service you can't enjoy.

Happens to me almost every time I start Mass Effect 2. I can usually just log in afterwards, but I'm kinda curious as to why it happens initially.

Don't even bother to log in anymore. I just keep auto login disabled and turn off upload feedback. Have no issues using any DLC once I logged in once to verify it.

Tried all the little tricks and none worked.
