Bronze is my comfort level. I'm N7 470 at the moment.

I loaded up
today and my "Rep" was 66% preferred and 34% avoided me. I knew this,
as this happened during one of the first promotion weekends and I was
playing very low level characters, all be it on Bronze.

Today I loaded up U/U/B and started playing. All 3 other players remained the same for 3 complete matches.

I
was playing an Asari Adept, level 20 with a Carnifex X and the only
equipment I had on was the Commando III, for all 3 matches, as it was only bronze.

I came in 3rd in all 3 games.

After the 3rd game I suddenly got 2 kick votes.

The other 3 players were 2 over 1000 N7's and one 200+.

The 200+ is the only one who didn't vote to kick me. I know this, because...

The 2 other players left when the 3rd player wouldn't kick and I searched for a new Bronze match.

Lo and behold I wound up with those same 2 (over 1000) again and immediately got 2 kick votes, as soon as I entered the lobby.

They
both had mics, and I did as well. So I asked, "Hey guys, I'll leave,
but what did I do, or not do, that you want to kick me?"

Nothing,
but silence. So, I left and went on playing U/U/B. When I finished playing for the day I
checked my Rep and it had went down from 66% preferred me and 34%
avoided me to 50/50 both ways. But, no messages or explanation as to
why.

I'm at a total loss as to what I may have done or not done. :(

I revived them all during the 3 matches we played and was killing enemies, no afk at all.

I do not understand this at all.

I'll not post their names, but I really would like an answer as to what I may have done, or not done wrong.

I don't understand Bronze kicking mentality either.

Not to try and defend them, but chances are they were in a party anyways and didn't hear you nor wanted to talk to you. You're not alone in having this happen. Best advice: try to find a group of casual players to hook up with. You'll have a lot more fun that way. There are quite a few people who are good to play with, and like any other online game, there are also those who take things way too seriously.

I don't know if this helps, but I somehow ended up with the same rep. Not sure if it was from ME3MP or CoD:MW3. I don't really care either way.

If they won't tell you, it's probably from a position that's hard for them to justify.

Good explanation.  Some people just don't get along well with others.  Perhaps they should stick to private matches and not play in the public arena.

I know the weekend op requires bronze games but my question is why are N7's over 1000 playing bronze? and if they are doing it for the op then they shouldn't mind carrying players...or do you actually carry on bronze?

Kicking on bronze is the first sign of the Apocaplypse. It's in the holy books and everything.

Reguardless of reasons though I wouldn't worry too much about it, playing with new randoms is usually what keeps the spice in the games, sometimes you end up having to do most the work, and sometimes you see some unlucky players make fools of themselves in hilarious ways, and sometimes you can just sit back and watch the enemies collpase under a well executed team effort.

Your rep on Xbox Live means nothing at all. I'm sitting at about 90% avoided on my 360 account and I still have a 5 star rep. I don't really play my 360 anymore but your rep doesn't change anything. You could be 100% avoided on a new account and get to 5*.

N7 ranking is just a number. Higher numbers dont mean better players.

That's never happened to me before, but I have been kicked because the randoms I was playing with didn't like my gamertag, which is even more ridiculous and nonsensical than N7 kicks on Bronze...

Rep doesn't mean anything on Xbox, sorry for your experience though, kicking on Bronze is just ridiculous. It sounds like some elitist bull**** on Xbox. Unless your not readying up, no one should be kicked for bronze. If those guys really wanted to play by themselves then they should have started up a private game.

They weren't carrying me, I came in 3rd in all 3 games. I admit they both outscored me, but they didn't vote to kick the player who came in 4th, and the 4th player was the only one who wouldn't vote to kick me.

Others posted why it bothers me. It bothers me because this is a team based game and I always try to play for the team.

Yes, I play a level 20 on bronze, but I always revive, go for the objectives and full extraction.

I just don't understand this.

I know the feeling.

Was in a silver match yesterday where I carried most of the match. It wasn't optimal, either; been trying this thing where I basically play like I'm new, act like I haven't unlocked all the right mods for weapons, choose characters and loadouts that I'm VERY unfamiliar with, all that. Got past the point where I was playing like I only had uncommons, so I threw on the Falcon (never used it until then) and the Disciple, one uncommon mod each, on a Batarian Soldier (basically tried him once and got annoyed at the lack of dodging). So yeah, maybe a bit of a dick thing.

Thing is, these players were pretty bad. I did most of the objectives, did most of the killing, went for revives, and was at the top of the scoreboard. Then, on wave 10, it was a hack objective, and I got magnet grabbed really early. Another team member went down well outside of the hack zone and didn't gel. The two remaining guys didn't use rockets at all, just sort of ineffectually flailed around, apparently trying to just dodge over and over. Those hacks take 2 minutes when half the party is in, and enemies had already overrun the area (including two banshees), so they didn't make it.

Back in the lobby, even though I capped the objectives for wave 3 and 6, two boot icons showed up next to my name. Maybe they're the type that get pissed when someone outscores them. Maybe they were mad because my N7 is a bit shy of 2k and it's obvious that I could have used a better loadout. Maybe they're the sort that think that it's my fault that the mission failed, since I was instakilled (even though the team should never rely on one player to the point that without them, the mission fails).

Considered messaging them, since I was actually really confused. Thought better of it, but yeah... sometimes, you might not know why you got kicked.

Fools. You should eat them.

Xbox Live is sprinkled with morons. Take any experience you have there with a grain (or entire shaker) full of salt.

the best explanation i can come up with is that they were probably just stupid jerks. screw 'em. i've had my fair share of playing with people like that, even on bronze games.

I do it to relevel after promoting, and I also used it to get the hang of using a GI+Claymore, since I've always gotten my **** rocked trying to before. Bumped it up to silver pretty quickly, once I got my GI past level 10, but it's often just to relevel. I don't like trying to carry as a level 1. It's... unhappy.

The only reason to kick someone on bronze is if AFK. It's just a game..forget it and move on.
