interesting idea, if Bioware goes that route they might just go full blown mmorpg and that would be terrible and be impossible for your previous decisions apply.... maybe if one player is just an important NPC (irony amirite) I would not want a Dark Souls thing going on then there will be no choices :[

The previous games in that series didn't even have single player campaigns, it was just shoehorned into BF3 to appeal to COD fans. Calling the multiplayer in BF3 a cash grab clearly shows that you have no idea what you're talking about.jbrand2002uk wrote...

"Because I say so" isn't proof of anything. You are just blindly assuming those flaws are directly related to the inclusion of multiplayer without anything to back it up.Elazul2k wrote...
Thats just stupid. The splitting of funds caused by dividing efforts could easily cause a story to fail to meet expectations in any number of ways. Perhaps the writer wrote a masterful piece, but since they had to split the funds, they ended up cutting down a couple of minor scenes, causing plotholes. The same could easily happen with gameplay features watering down the entire game. To think otherwise is ignoring the business aspects of making a game. I cannot think of a single example of tacked on multiplayer enchancing a game in such a way I would be willing to overlook the flaws such a game would create.
Ok you want proof BF3 enough said the SP story while fairly well written clearly suffers because of the cash grab MP
Ha actually I do know what I'm talking about its like any other EA game including their EASports titles just take a look at all the packs, kits and other DLC's Battlefield was once a SP FPS which EA turned into a MP FPS which shortly after became a cash grab DLC fiasco they have systematically done it with every franchise they have got their filthy hands on each and every one even those that started off as SP games now have MP with copipus amounts of DLC that you can buy to "enhance" your MP experiance so online becomes a case of "he who has the biggest wallet wins" which is why I dont bother with any EA owned franchises that have a MP mode.
Either way BW will have to decide if its making an RPG or an MMO, many bad things can be said about Bethseda but at least they have the common sense to have a seperate TES MMO for all the online and celebrity obsessed braindead zombie masses

My latest concern over MP is whether that would necessitate the removal of the pause button in combat even for the SP experience. That would be truly bad.
It would for sure but it is not as big of a deal as you may think. I am a serial pauser in games. I thought there is no way in the world I could funcion without it but adapted very fast in ME multiplayer. Remember you are just operating one character now and not a whole group.

Dragon Age III's multiplayer will be this: Horde mode and maybe (team) deathmatch.
But there is hope. There will be most likely no Galactic Readiness.
This made me lol
Booting up DA:3 for the first time and see Galactic Readiness, I would snap that disc in half. xD

Customization- I'd like being able to play as any one of the races in the DA universe, and fully customize that character.. How they look, gender, how they wear their armor, and the color of their armor.
Allow us to buy armor, accessories, weapons, and items, as if in a shop; instead of randomly getting stuff- I don't care how much its priced. If there is a piece of armor, or a weapon I really want. I don't mind playing to get up the gold to buy it. Random boxes are nice for special events- and should be filled with a number of things.
classes- We all know the types of mages that are in DA, and we all had our warriors, archers, and rouges set up differently I'm sure when we played DA 1 and DA 2. What other classes can be brought about in DA3? Allow players of course to select what class they wish, and how they wish to level them. Allow them to switch to another class if they wish (which would start at lv 1 of course). Level cap cannot be something lame like 20. 30 or 35, is a nice cap.
Gameplay- It could be set up the way ME3 MP is, with the hordes, or it could have you attack, and or defend certain areas. Either way, or both; lets keep the enemy intelligent, so players work together and come up with strategies on how to win (imagine doing a battle, that has you defend a mage circle tower from demons). With all the weapons, armor, accessories, and items you can buy or win (after a special event challenge), I wouldn't mind these battles being bonecrushingly hard , with a boss fight plus minions at the end lol.
I'm quite sure combat will be much like DA2, which I did like, though I wish the enemies were much more intelligent, and diverse. It seemed all they did was just fly at you swinging, and all you had to do was mash buttons, and not think. Combat can be a bit more action, without being mindless button mashing. Since the game will be for both the PS4, 720, and PC... Allow all to play togther. Final Fantasy XI did that, (XIV will as well), and it was absolutely brilliant and fun. It can be greatly fun, especially since they've been inspired by the openess, that Skyrim showed.
The tech inside of these new consoles, as I've read so far- and them being able to push engines like the Frostbite 2, this is very possible- while also delivering an awesome single player experience. I also don't mind prices for items being so high, that I cave in and spend real cash from time to time, because I know how hard these guys work, and making games like this, is not cheap.

I would imagine it would be very similar to ME3 multilayer which has been quite successful.

I can't imagine that this wouldn't work brilliantly against hordes of darkspawn. Gold matches against dragons? Superlative. Can't wait. Will play religiously, as with ME3. Cannot wait.

I just hope that it won't be tied into the single player campaign ala Mass Effect's galactic readiness scale. I also hope they won't put so much focus into multiplayer at the expense of SP campaign quality.

I wouldn't mind Multiplayer in DA3, only if it doesn't effect single player and it doesn't hinder any of the development of the single player.
Before I got into DAO, I heard alot of things about Bioware and their games but I never heard anyone say that they bought the game for the multiplayer or loved the multiplayer more than the single player.
I read about in this forum and people said a different team and budget was used for the multiplayer so back to my last paragraph, I don't think many people buy the game because of the multiplayer so why can't Bioware use the money, time and man power that was used on Multiplayer and use it on the single player instead.
No one is not going to buy the game because there isen't multiplayer and the single player is amazing.

I am against multiplayer. I feel like it's unnecessary. I couldn't ever imagine Dragon Age Origins or Dragon Age 2 with other players, so they would have to make some pretty heavy changes for it to work good. Plus, what about choice? Are two players going to be making the "decisions" presented to you in the game? Or will creating our own story be entirely left out due to multiplayer. People who say multiplayer or co-op is just an "extra" feature are wrong. Bioware will have to sacrafice some singleplayer aspects of the game to make the game multiplayer.
