If I like something, I like it inherently, if I don't, well then I don't. I don't see the point of forcing myself to like something. I found the EC endings all right. But if I didn't I'd be spending my time somewhere else rather than forcing myself to like it. :S

I liked EC enough. I was disappointed in the lack of a reunion scene, but at least it was implied.

I liked it *better* than the original ending, if only because the original ending set the bar so low there was little room to go down from there. That being said, better doesn't necessarily equate to good.

It is a fundamental problem, since the whole billion year skipping record of stupid with space magic wand undermines the very FOUNDATIONS of the ME universe. Can't get more fundamental than that.

I'm fine with the EC. Is it a perfect ending? No. Is it much better than the original endings? Yes.

IMO, it solved all of the nonsensical crap with the original endings and added some post choices closure which was sorely needed. If you're offended by the whole concept of the endings then you'll be miserable in perpetuity. I'm sure I'll see all the same people months from now talking about the same things and asking the same questions.

This pretty much sums up how I feel about it. I've got no real motivation to do any other playthroughs, so that's 4 sheps left in limbo out of 7.

Story feels too linear compared to the other 2 where we could do the majority of the missions in whatever order we liked. 

Etc, etc... ad nauseum.

It still makes the plot of Mass Effect 1 moot, and forces me to kill myself based upon blind trust of the self-described Reaper god, so I didn't like the original or the EC, although the EC was much less 'everyone dies' in that the relays being destroyed was retconned and in the EC, they can be rebuilt (therefore,. all the dextrose based species in orbit over Earth won't die of starvation and the rest aren't stranded to never see home).

I will admit the EC fixed a lot of things (i.e. starchild is crazy, everyone doesn't die, Shepard isn't a mindless idiot), but the core plot of the ending (and how is destroyed previous plots/characters, ME1, Soverign, etc.), how it didn't fit the themes of Mass Effect, and how it's just downright frustrating and non-rewarding to play make me not enjoy it at all.

*Of course this is my personal opinion, and I respect those who feel differently and enjoyed the ending as it is.

 There are ending ideas I've heard that I personally would have preferred, but after the EC, I do like the endings. So while I think it could've been better for sure, I still think Bioware did a good job of executing their vision. So I'm not forcing myself to like it- I'm content with it.

I still think the ending of the game is bad, but the EC makes it sting a little less going down.

Where are you getting that word from? I certainly didn't see it anywhere, and it isn't tied to "bad" in mutual exclusivity, last I checked.
