Is it possible to change the save path?
I just don't care for items that must go to my documents.
I was able to install to another drive with no issue and run the application.
My only issues were getting the DLCs to load correctly (DAO: Ultiimate Disks).
I had forgotten that I was in as admin and would need to ensure the daupdater service could be run by users.
I would like to be able to change the DAOriginsConfig file line:
<string name="USERDATA_DIR">${CSIDL_PERSONAL}\\BioWare\\Dragon Age</string>
I believe that is the correct line to modify.
For me that means making a change to a clean install with only a test save, so nothing to lose other than making the setup configuration angry and think the DLCs are not loaded/installed.
I am not an XML pro and have a brain block at translating something like F:\\SaveGame\\....
Running DAO:U
patched to 1.04, I already had that file and know it is old but works on laptop
win 7 pro
i5 3570K
nvidia GTX 670
8 GB Ram -- I know it is low, not a true gamer
Primary HDD is an SSD
Secondary HDD is standard drive and much larger
Thanks for any input
Sorry if this was answered somewhere here, I tried several word combinations in search but no hits.

IIRC, the main way people have achieved this in the past has been by changing the location where Windows stores the My Documents folder. A google search for "change my documents location windows 7" should show you how.

Great, that worked. Thank you.
I happened to use the Windows Sevenforums:
http://www.sevenforu...-documents.html
This metthod is much simpler than mucking with the XML.
This will resolve issues for a couple of other games as well.
I had just stared too long at the issue and forgot that site was where I found the solution to FO3 not liking too many cpu cores.
I did pester Origin support about having an installation path option but not having one for saves.
For what good it does, I stirred the pot again.
Thanks again
