What are your wishlist items for the MP that wouldn't have a chance of happening (but its still fun to dream)?
-During objective waves there is a chance that one of Shepard's team might drop in to lend a hand. Seriously, how epic would it be if you are on round 10 with most of your mates about to bite it with time running out to get the big credits and you hear "I am Krogan!!" or "Scoped and dropped"?
-Game modes that follow the single player campaign in London with massive battles of multiple squads taking it to the Reapers.
-A difficulty level that is challenging without having to throw in a derpy boss mode (platinum) of getting swarmed by an almost never ending stream of banshees, brutes, etc.
your wishlist of things to add to MP-nothing is too over the top

More class combos, more new powers, more guns, more maps, more aliens, more objectives...
...everything we're already getting, basically!
I think a Merc DLC would be next on my wishlist. Blue Suns Turian Infiltrator, Blue Suns Batarian Engineer, Eclipse Salarian Soldier, Eclipse Asari Sentinel, Blood Pack Krogan Adept... and a Shadow Broker Asari Vanguard, perhaps? I'm all in favour of slightly unusual class combos, but I fear a Blood Pack Vorcha Vanguard would be defying belief, a little.
Either way. Package in Firebase Illium, Firebase Omega, indoctrinated mercs as opponents, and a few new guns (including that Blood Pack SMG) and we're sorted!

What Flaming Snake said. Too much to ask, but imagine if they fixed the bugs/glitches that have been with us since the demo.
While we're dreaming:
* improved netcode
* ability to see lag/ping
* ability to run dedicated servers
* ability to uncheck specific levels/enemies, in-progress games, ping when matchmaking
* better offline stats (aggregating medals, wins, etc)
* better in-game lobby info (whether a player is instore, powers screen etc, consumables loadout)
* more interesting operations w/ realtime stats
More realistically: at least one or two more enemy factions, some sort of progression option.

So rather than creating brand new factions, you create one or two brand new enemies per line-up, and sprinkle them in. So you might get Reapers II, Geth II, and either a Cerberus II or an indoctrinated forces lineup.
Reapers II might look something like this...
Cannibals
Husks
Collectors (instead of Marauders)
Brutes
Scions (instead of Ravagers)
Harvesters (instead of Banshees)
Geth II might be something like...
Geth Trooper
Geth Shock Trooper (instead of Geth Rocket Trooper)
Geth Hunter
Geth Ghost (instead of Geth Pyro)
Geth Prime
And so on. Indoctrinated troops would basically retain the Cerberus AIs, but have different powers. So instead of a smoke grenade, the indoctrinated centurion might be turian, and use a proximity mine. A nemesis would be replaced with a salarian infiltrator with the ability to cloak, a phantom would be replaced with an asari who can't cloak but uses biotic powers in a similar way, etc. etc. etc.
Seems like a way to add lots of different gameplay - doubling the number of factions - without having to do too much heavy lifting.

Needs Mass Effect 1 power selections, as well as the inventory (but not the inventory menu). Way over the top customization. I loved that.

A rolling sequence of missions so if you do mission 1, you get a connected mission 2 and after that a mission 3, etc. If the team wipes at any of the missions, it has to be restarted at mission 1.
An additional difficulty if desired, can be that consumables only refill a certain amount, such as you only get back 1 missile/medi gel/etc for the best mission regardless of how many you used during the previous mission
This probably deserves a better reward depending on difficulty. All missions would be on random maps to prevent farming from affecting it. Another type of reward that could be used is that a secret map only shows up on mission 5/10/whatever, so only those who managed to survive through hell could play that map.

Scrap currrent Platinum mode, needs revamp
Reapers:
Husks replaced with Abominations - Pretty much a carry over from ME2 but have layer of armor over health by default and will only melee attack when it has armor can be buffed by marauder plate.
Cannibal+, Engineer unit that deploys barrier engines from SP
Barrier engine gives a layer of barriers to all reaper units except Brutes. Cannibals will always attempt a tactical retreat to receive barriers over engaging players
Persistent spawning of swarmers as long a ravager is present
and maybe carry over Scions from ME2
Cerberus:
Engineers in addition turrets will deploy shield generators. When an engineer nest is completely set up, Assault Trooper spawn is persistent.
During objective rounds Engineers will prioritize setting up on objective if player has retrieved object, will attempt to set up at extraction
Shield generators buff/replenish shields of Assault Trooper/Centurions/Nemesis
Swordless phantom type unit -quickes rushes player and beats the crap out of them, dodges frequently. If not stunned will properly use cover, dodge in a zigzag towards the player instead of being a bullet sponge 'til it dies.
Geth:
Geth need to be fixed first, so they don't need to be so cheap to be effective.
Geth Juggernaut, larger than pyro smaller than prime range but with almost as much health and shields equipped with a spitfire, and it fire it relentlessly with little or no break. If player aggros Juggernaut too much or is just out in the open too long, the juggernaut will stop fire momentarily then Player will hear wa-wa-wa-wa sound and Jug will fire a charged shot. If not in cover player will be instantly incapped, if in cover will be staggered out of cover and take some damage.
