I demand David Gaider read some military history books for DA3 if he is going to try and portray a war. Capes are irrelevant.

I demand Chris Avellone write the whole game!

Chris Avellone despises fantasy with elves and dwarves. He would refuse.

I like capes and cloaks and don't care about clipping XP

*ahem* Yes, I agree with you.

And we need proper hoods, something that could cover up the PC's indentity, like this:

Eh, I'd prefer they fix smaller problems before they bring new ones in.

Like the legendary floating sword/staff with no scabbards.

I know it's technically just an ugly workaround, but... am I the only one who thinks it looks pretty darn cool? =S No idea how it works or anything and I tend not to think about it much, but I like the sense that the weapons just attach somehow xD

Agreed. If no capes and cloaks then at least armor with overcoats that flow such as the one in the image.

Oh and coats too.

Coats such as the one the awesome guy above is wearing.

I wouldn't mind playing a female that looks like the Demon Hunter from Diablo 3 :). Her outfit is awesome.

Yeah im sick of peoples millitary strategy in Bioware games to be just "every unit on the field charge and hope for the best" even simple strategy would be preferable to the seemingly complete lack of it we have atm.

But if it came to that or more fleshed out, detailed politics i'd rather the politics, things like deciding the holdings of lands and their rulers and fates of nations like in The Witcher 2. and exploring something like that in more detail would be cool

Capes on ceremonial armor only, please.

If there are capes I hope they are aesthetic only, 'Cloak of a million resistances' makes no sense

I demand a return of companion underwear.

Also not really a cloak but cool all the same.

As much as the idea of a cloak with the hood up protecting my char from the rain (cause in my fantasy Dragon age has weather) is appealing.. Cloaks and capes aren't really something you go into battle wearing.

So cosmetically? Yay. As equipment/armour? nay.

If they're going to focus on a cosmetic thing I'd rather it be more realistic hair or improving the look of the armour we already have or, as others have said, scabbards.

If you guys want a military strategy game, go play Command & Conquer.  I hear it's going to be F2P. :D  Otherwise, keep the Castle management, and battlefield strategy out, please.  I hate it.  It was terrible in NWN2.  Annoyed the living crap out of me, and everyone else I talked to that played it.

And about cloaks?  Shouldn't we be asking for horses, as well?  Not to mention Dwarven War Axes.

And with that shout out to the NWN days, I realize I have been lurking on these boards for entirely too long.:wizard:
