My N7 rank is 720, all classes are at 20 (I do not promote unless it is an operation objective), I have all rares maxed (except gears), have some decent URs. When I go into gold/plat I always have a decent loadout, nothing crazy, I equip stuff (ammo, weapon and "armor" equipment), so I very rarely get kicked from lobbies -- until yesterday.

Last night I decided to try out how the Scorpion works on a QME along with grenade capacity V. I got ~120K score with it on platinum (2nd place) for first try so it seemed pretty good. However, as I continued to play with it joining various gold/plat lobbies, I kept getting insta-kicks as soon as I joined, even from players with low level rare weapons (and under 200 N7, although I know that means nothing, but the weapon level showed the player has not played too much).

Considering my prior experience with not being kicked, I can only attribute this "aversion" to the Scorpion.

Why do people hate it som much ???

It's a fantastic side arm for AOE damage, it's just not a single-target destroyer.

People hate that some people just don't like to play their way, they want to find a trail to blaze that is comfortable for them. Keep blazing your trail mano and forget about the douchebags.

Scorpion is one of the best guns in the game. I carry it as my only weapons on quite a few classes. It destroys Phantoms. Don't understand why you would be kicked.

Were there biotics in the lobbies you joined? Arc grenades interfere with biotic explosions. Other than that, can't think of what else it might be.

The scorpion is usually one of my go-to-guns. Use it on a demolisher for near constant tech bursts when used with his grenades, or with a paladin and cryo for tons of mookcicles. Epic.

Some people are just idiots. The scorpion is awesome. Even more so now that there is ULM for pistols.

I know someone who uses the Scorpion exclusively on the QFE.  Freezes targets, unloads some scorpion rounds on them, off to the next.... he really does some damage with it... it's all a matter of play style.  No one should judge until they've seen someone in action.

You can carry both scorpion (X) and w/e levle hurricane you want as long as they BOTH have ULM on. ULM doesnt work with SMG alone but if you use both pistol and SMG ULM they both work. Stop carrying around 1 weapon 1st. Its dumb and 3% recharge is nothing for the geth plasma SMG, and you can put armor piercing on SMGs now for 90% armor mitigation.

I'd a kicked you for using anything less than a scorpion X. It only has 34 shots, and the damage isn't noticeable on anything that isnt a trooper. The main use of the gun is staggering. Using it as a main weapon is asking to get booted.

Also, a lot of the nubs still have no idea that the rocket glitch was patched, and scropion was one of the main weapons used to do it.

Other than those points, can't think of much besides you just not playing along with the FBG FBW retard slash/smash spam that has started up. I wish people stop making videos showing people that have no f8ckin business in higher difficulties think they can play. They ALWAYS FAIL when shyt hits the fan.

Scorion is awesome gun. if you are getting kicked .. its not because of the gun.

It´s good, but you need something to instant stun enemies since the splosion takes so long to go off.
I use it with Human Engineer, drone acts as decoy (easy targeting) and Overload for emergency-stunning foes that get to close.
Incinerate + Scorpion seems to trigger fire explosions.
The only thing that´s kinda weird is how ammo effects work with the scorpion. You have to directly hit a target, the explosion seems to deal no ammo effect.

On the PC I don't often see the scorpion being used in pugs. Maybe because shooting it at the full ROF off-host fires duds. It's a nice gun though, I had some funny runs with it on a KV.

I don't like the gun. It's on the heavier side, and if I'm to take a heavier gun the Paladin or Talon do a much better job. Timed delay on explosions makes for crappy DPS. There are more efficient ways to AoE on the game.

I was running it on my Sentinel last night against Reapers and Cerberus.
It more or less stunlocks the Phantoms, making for an easy kill.

 One of the best guns in the game. Combo'd with prox mines and it really takes off. If people are kicking you it might be because they are jelly.

I used to despise it, back when Scorpion rounds disappeared into a magical space dimension 4/5 times. After it got more or less fixed (one of the few things the last patch actually got right) I gave it another chance.

Scorpi and I have been....'close' ever since...

A lot of people don't value guns other than the Harrier, Typhoon, Piranha and the other "beast weapons". I carry a scorpion on a lot of classes, either as backup or primary weapon and don't get the boot too much.
I personnaly would kick an ex cerberus spamming lash (god this is an annoying power), rather than a scorpion user.

your doing it wrong. but thats ok, its just a playstyle thing.

put a scorion on a demolisher and watch full spawns stun lock and explode (i use disrupt ammo) or on a engi or tech class and enjoy the techburst explosions. if you have 2 seconds to set up hit the target if you want insta gratification aim right in front of a target .. they are proxy so they will insta explode.

Probably killing speed. If you're sticking enemies directly, it's faster to kill them with an Avenger than it is to kill with the Scorpion. People are so impatient wanting "MOAR CREDITS NAO!" that they will go out of their way to kill everything in a fourth of a second instead of half a second.

I love it. I carry a Piranha and Scorpion on my GI. When I get faced with 2+ phantoms at once, out comes the scorpion and away they go.

I discovered what a monster the Scorpion is when carried on a Kroguard in Platinum today. I think I'm keeping it as his sole weapon even for gold.
