Its amazing how one person's stupidity mannaged to get both Pro enders and Anti enders to agree.

...

Does this prove IT???

No, but it does start the process of getting the level of butthurt on BSN back down to pre ME3 days.

You mean the Dragon Age 2 days, because that was funny.

"What does the overwhelming amount of Destroyers says about gamers?"

It says that some people actually paid attention to the story, a sizable portion at that. My faith in humanity may have increased a smidgen.

I don't PRETEND to be a storytelling expert, I AM. I am a pro SF commercially published writer with 8 novels and 11 or so short stories out there. The ending breaks all the rules of good storytelling. Period.

Good for you, I'm still trying to understand how to bring some money home. But being a professional writer does not make one a "storytelling expert".

Really? So 20 years of being published, plus many, many years of work before hand, makes me not expert  enough to know the rules of good storytelling? Geez.... I suppose you know better than me, my Editor and the poor folks who buy the books I write.  /tiptoes away... I'll leave you to your delusions, after all, that's what fairytales are for - or are they?

Even in DA2 at least when I was there, it was worse than people flaming about the collector's base but not as bad as this

Yes, yes it actually does.
You cannot avoid becoming an expert when you actually want your stuff to be published.
(Well, admittedly, TONS of sub-par novels get published every year, and some of them become bestsellers even though they are barely worth the paper they are printed on. Twilight, Shades of Grey, Mass Effect: Deception...
Still, most writers learn a LOT about what works and what does not before their first manuscript sees print. I don't really know how so much junk manages to be greenlit by editors and publishers - let alone become a success - but for most of us, getting published is a BIG step that can only be earned by becoming an expert.)

...in the case of ME3 endings none of them are good choices; you've just got to pick the one you feel least disturbed by.

That's about the most succinct way of describing the endings I've ever seen that doesn't involve humor.

It's nifty that I can feel that way about people who pick any of the endings. It helps my faith score out a lot.

It says out of 4 bad endings, gamers have enough sense to choose an ending that makes the most sense.
