I purchased Dragon Age: Origins several years ago over XBL's Games On Demand, I've recently been playing through it again (deciding it's one of the finest games I've ever played after more-or-less casting it aside the first time I played) and have become very interested in the DLC.

So I came across Awakening and saw I could buy it on Amazon for a fiver instead of paying the ridiculous sum of 2400MSP for it over XBL. But if I get it indisc form (I presume you download it in a similar fashion to GOTY edition games where the disk downloads the DLC), will I be able to play Awakening on my GoD downloaded DA:O?

It's a simple and silly question, I just wanted to make sure before I purchase it.

Not sure of the answer myself, but you might try asking EA/Bioware directly:

The disk version of Awakening for X360 is designed to stand alone (the game mechanics are all on the disc so no need for installation/downloading) so it should not matter which version of Origins you had.
The only potential problem would be the importing of data which I would not expect to be a problem

If you want all the DLC, you could also consider the Ultimate Edition of the game; it's probably cheaper than its constituent parts still (particularly since the online purchases don't seem to drop in price hardly ever).
