Seriously, there's only ONE non-white dude in the entire series who a female PC can have a relationship with, and if you pursue it... he cheats on you and gets another woman up the duff. Then dumps you for her.

And he's the one put in charge of weapons on your ship. And his father is a criminal.

Just like on cop dramas, and episodes of Jerry Springer and Maury.

Uh wow. I'm not a minority, AND I was raised by rather racist people. And even I find this all ridiculously stereotypical and kind of offensive.

Or maybe Jacob's sometimes just a git, and the colour of his skin isn't important unless *you* decide to add 2 and 2 and make it 5?

The overall tone of the series - and of BioWare in general - is, unquestionably, one of inclusion and tolerance (there's a message you find from a deceased NPC in one of the DLC's in ME2 that touches on the theme directly). If you're looking for nits to pick, then you'll have to ignore everything else to get to them. Heck, the narrative includes relationships that bridge species, not just ethnicity or gender - I would've thought that was a pretty big deal and an obvious declaration of themes. More than enough, at the very least, to dismiss such inane claims as "Bioware is racist".

And on the subject of nitpicking: ...the W is capitalised.

...It's still something ripped from a hundred episodes of Maury and Jerry Springer.

And he's the ONLY love interest that does this. Everyone else, all the aliens, all the white folks, they stay faithful. Or at least they stay with Shepard.

So they picked one who simply wasn't a very popular character anyway. Meanwhile, Shepard can be whatever colour you want him or her to be and Anderson certainly isn't a negative stereotype.

Or maybe it's because no one liked the one black love interest, so they decided to give him a semi-happy ending as a consolation prize and slight the three people who romanced him. (Two of which were blind and thought they were actually romancing Garrus.)

No, sorry, this isn't going to stick.

End of line.
