 hey,

So, Shepard being a Biotic must be canon.

Why you ask? well I shall Explain:

Even if you choose a non Biotic class for Shepard (Soldier, Engineer, or Infiltrator), He still has access to Biotic Bonus Powers.

so to use those Bonus powers he must have some level of Biotics.

So, Shepard being a Biotic must be canon.

Opinions?

Well yeah, I thought everyone knew this. Since ME1 shepard always had biotic powers regardless of class.

It has been proven that it is not possible lore-wise for shepard to be biotic, since he was born way before first reports of any biotic ability in hums IIRC.

I think soldier shep is canon, since bioware always show him like that. In the same way that manshep is canon, and liara (ugh) is the canon LI.

Lets just hope synthesis isn't the canon ending for me4........

My opinion is that this is the most retarded thread of all time and that nothing will ever match up to it. Nope... not even this one social.bioware.com/forum/Mass-Effect-3/Mass-Effect-3-Story-and-Campaign-Discussion-Spoilers-Allowed/Auto-dialogue-is-a-bogus-complaint-13640994-1.html

All Adepts and Vanguards: Rejoice :)))))))))))))))

To get biotic powers you only need to have implants. So maybe minor implants would do.

Shepard has an omniblade, even in a non-omniblade classes

So omniblade is canon

Gameplay/story discontinuity.

I don't think Shepard has a bunch of training videos on his/her terminal either.

Alenko was born before Shepard (2151 vs 2154) so anyone who has "proven" that Shepard could not be a biotic is an idiot.

Kaidan mentions you being a biotic no matter what in ME.

I think my Vanguard Shepard made some biotic reference in a dialogue with a squadmember in ME3?

Can anyone confirm this? I would actually say that was really neat, if true.

Other possibility: indoctrination.

That was a joke (or was it?)

I guess all those times where Shepard used an assault rifle instead of biotics should have given it away.

Because you can't use ARs if you're a biotic, silly me, been doing it wrong this whole time.

Of course canon shep is a biotic. Why do you think all of the default starts are soldiers?

If your Shepard has biotics they're a biotic. If they don't, then they're not.

Soldiers who can cast singularities in ME1, use slam in ME2, and warp in ME3.  If Shepard is always capable of that ability, Shepard is always a biotic whether Shepard uses it primarily or not.  In the Mass Effect Universe, you can't just use Biotic powers without heavily using red sand (or otherwise becoming a biotic god) or being born a biotic.  Since Shepard is not perpetually high, Shepard has to be a biotic regardless.

Confusing gameplay mechanics with game plot a bit.

The first human exposed to dust-form ez-o in-utero was in 2151, 3 years before Shep was born. Biotic Shep also received a secondary exposure at a later date.

Kaidan will mention it in the hospital if you talk to him, and Liara will mention it if you have the talk with her in your cabin about preserving data for the future.

I dunno, Shepard being perpetually high would explain their lack of dancing ability.
