Hmm, been hearing a lot of demands for a new enemy faction to fight against, with most common being the Collectors. I feel that the best way to do this is to introduce Singleplayer DLC, though even then people would say it cheapens Mass Effect 2's Suicide Mission if Collectors were introduced in anyway.

What do you guys think?

I agree, and I'd rather have a new game mode anyway. Also I think it might be unwise to add even more stuff to your Terminus pack, because like I said earlier an organized and well presented idea for a DLC pack is more likely to catch Bioware's attention than a surplus of ideas mixed together. Let's get your mercenaries to MP, then take it from there! Keep up the good work.

Yeah, the new Firebase Operations game mode along with the wide selection of new characters, weapons, and locations should be enough fresh content for players to liven up the current MP experience until then.

@Killahead

I would like your analysis on the Asari Oracle Sniper Rifle and the Turian Daedalos Shotgun, if you don't mind. Are they worth their Rarity? Is the damage too high or too low when considering their unique mechanics? Which classes would benefit the most/the least with these weapons?

If I could offer a suggestion of adding an enemy faction. "(Indoctrinated?) Mercs" I say indoctrinated because obviously it is one of two ways to add them as an enemy. (The other way being fairly obvious, they are mercenaries, galactic chaos means easy money, they aren't considered a concern by many because of the Reaper threat so N7 are sent to clean them up).

Obvious enemies would be the Eclipse Vanguard (Asari), Blue Suns Legionnaire (Turian), Blood Pack Warrior (Krogan), Blue Suns Heavy (Human), Eclipse Engineer (Salarian) and Blood Pack Pyro (Vorcha) with YMIR Mech serving as the heavy boss.

Just an idea ofcourse. Could give the Legionnaire Tech Armour and Concussive Shot, the Warrior health regeneration and Carnage or Fortification, the Vanguard Stasis (similar to Benezia's in ME1 but with a much higher cooldown ofcourse or single use) and Charge (no ragdoll, just a basic charge that gets her and her Disciple in your face with half barriers and staggers you slightly, single use?) and give the Engineerca LOKI and/or FENRIS Mech to spawn similar to Cerb Turrets. The rest I think would be fine.

While that is very cool (the white could stand to be black, though, imo), I think Soja is trying to keep BioWare from having to do as much work as possible, so he's proposing existing models a la the characters we've already gotten thus far. Plus... not gonna lie, the Blood Pack Warrior that's already there just looks so badass :P

I say, save the new enemies for later. Keep Firebase Operations backed up, because that would leave a much longer-lasting impression than new enemies, I guarantee you, plus said ops would be far from impossible to implement. Like, make it accessed via a new "difficulty" mode, and every 15 minutes or so (assuming each session lasts 1 hour, so in 25% increments) the difficulty spikes*, so it starts out at about Bronze difficulty, but halfway through it's now on Gold difficulty. It would slowly warm you up to it, and should you fail at that point, you would still be sufficiently rewarded, so it's not like it's a real loss for less-experienced players. (So like, completing the first 15 minutes might net you 15K, the next 15 minutes would net you 30K for a total of 45K, and after that 75K for a whopping 120K, etc. So, huge payouts if you last the entire mission.) And maybe the Ops are different depending on the enemy faction?

That's just my two cents, though. It would certainly keep the game fresh imo.

* I know Firebase Operations wouldn't play out like the missions we do now, so difficulty would have to be implemented in a different way. I'm just speaking in regards to overall challenge.

Love a lot of the ideas here, especially the asari sniper rifle and the batarian with blue tech armor. As long as the Blue Suns Centurion/Sentinel's enforcement gauntlet was also blue to match his tech armor, it'd probably become one of my new favorite classes.

My only gripe is the vorcha, as I have no interest in vorcha classes, but I understand the need to represent the Blood Pack.

This idea is excellent. Thanks for posting this Soja76. I wouldn't mind having another Krogan either. However, I don't like the radiant map. I never liked that level in ME2. However, a fight in Omega would kick some ass.

Also, I thought about a game mode exactly the same way described in this one. That would be awesome and give multiplayer something actually 'new' and not just another objective.

This would be nice to see. Each section would bring the credit total up to that of the next normal difficulty level.

well in the SP it was said that there were Collector Swarms on Palaven, so that kinda hints that the Collectors are still around

and you can always do Indoctrinated Mercs like I did

Exactly. The codex specifically says that there are still Collectors running around in ME3.

IIRC, it only said Seeker Swarms were still around, which are more Reaper-manufactured than Prothean/Collector-created. Though it doesn't quite state that the Collectors aren't back......

but it would be really stupid if every Collector was on the base at that time with only one Collector

That's what I say. There are remnants, whether anyone chooses to believe it or not.

Case in point: the Reapers. The council didn't believe they existed until it was too late. The Collectors are no different.

That's a bit of a different situation. The Council chose to not believe that the reapers existed, even after seeing Sovereign. We saw what appeared to be all of the Collectors go down in a big boom.
