This does seem like some interesting stuff, and I admit I'm not completely privy to the particular copyright and legal implications. But, isn't the fact that this idea comes directly from a community member (or members) a reason for Bioware to -never- implement it? As I understand it if they did take this idea and run with it, they'd be running the risk of being sued for not compensating those involved in its development, unless there was some kind of contract waiving all rights to the Terminus Pack and or its derivatives. Not meaning to be a wet blanket and what not; and I suppose I could be wrong but it seems to me its beyond unlikely anything like this will see the light of day, precisely because it originated outside of the developers direct sphere of influence.

Wouldn't that require Soja to sue BioWare himself? He's giving this idea to BioWare for free, I doubt anything bad could really happen. But nevertheless, that was a nice, fair bit of insight, so thank you ^_^

Location: Firebase Celeste ( Illium )
Enemy Faction: Reapers
Mission Briefing: With Reapers in complete control of Illium, it would be a suicide mission to try and take it back. New intel, however, has led us to believe that the reapers are housing some form of repurposing station near Nos Astra. This may lead to invaluable information on reaper invasion patterns. With a planet as large as Illium and the Invasion just happening, this may be our only chance to strike. *Be Advised, This is marked as HIGH RISK* and is strictly a Reconaissance mission. Engaging with the enemy is ill-advised. ( Illium is over run with husk )

Chapter 1: Arrival
As you land on the level, the area is washed with an obvious azure blue, reminiscent of asari. Entering from the outskirts of Nos Astra, head towards the nearby buildings. Enemies are nearby. ( Sounds of husk and other unknown noises can be heard though they are not yet aware of your prescence ) Infiltrate pass their defences and make way for the nearby building. You can hear the sound of Harvesters outside. You've been told that the planet is a hot zone and extraction is not definite

Chapter 2: Drowning
You enter a medium sized room with a table located in the middle. Two doors allow access to the room. A large window can be seen on the opposite wall. There are four devices which need to be activated to set up the room for hacking ( Similar to a hacking circle ). Activating the devices has alerted the Reapers of your prescence and husk begin to pour in, through the halls. The more players hacking the devices the faster it will go, though someone needs to defend the team against the husk. ( Base amount of time it will take to hack is four minutes. As opposed to normal hacking, where you must hack within the 5 minute time frame ) Escape through a ladder found down one of the corridors that the husk came from.

* While hacking you are unable to defend yourself

Chapter 3: Faces of Hope
While escaping, you discover where the Husk came from. The Spikes used to create husk can be seen around you, nearby ~ Pods ( Similar to the collector pods in Mass Effect 2 ) can be seen with humans in them. They appear to be alive. You've been alearted by the alliance that the likelihood of retriaval is slimming by the second. You need to set up beacons to upload the data. The team must split up and begin to set up beacons as fast as they can while also trying to free the colonist. ( Harvesters begin dropping husk in on your position ) Protect the beacons & abducted humans while hordes of husk attempt to stop you.

Chapter 4: Shrouds of Sorrow
Reaper jamming towers have prevented the alliance from contacting you and its presumed that they don't know your location. Banshee crys can be heard from afar. Harvesters begin to fly overhead while husk are dropped all around you. There are atleast ten Banshees that appear with hordes upon hordes of husk surrounding you. Theres one clear opening which leads you into the streets of Nos Astra. Your only option is to run

Banshees are telelporting infront of you at any given time, while husk are grabbing your team mates and slowing them down. Harvesters are seen over head dropping husk ahead of you. As you run, destroyed buldings can be seen all around you, a symbolic touch of the actual Illium. The Occasionl blasto poster can also be seen. Players will have to bob and weave past a couple of obstacles to make it to " safety ". Running into another building and up a large staircase, you arrive at the *Nos Astra Exchange Trading floor. An alliance pilot in a Kodiak is waiting for you as you hear the sounds of Banshees charging. The final push is made towards the Kodiak . . .

* There are never less than 10 banshees. If some are somehow killed, others simply spawn themselves quickly. While if there are atleast 10 banshees, it will take longer for more to respawn. ( They will spawn ahead of you )

Mission Accomplished:
If a single squad mate completes the mission, you find out that the intel was actually a coup (there was a virus sent to the alliance computers through the beacons ), though the humans that you found somehow blew up in an explosion ~ Leaving you to question whether it was better they died this way

* Nos Astra Exchange Trading Floor

Has anyone thought of a different kind of reward, other than credits? Such as a UR weapon or something entirely new? :3

BioWare would never go for something like that, though.

No where in this thread has anyone, let alone Soja, claimed rights, as a matter of fact, this thread has asked BioWare to USE the idea, to TAKE it. Therefore waving any rights that could even be claimed.

I've got an idea of a Firebase Ancient, based on Ilos. I chose it because its in the Terminus System and it's different aesthetically to any other place in we've seen in the ME universe and would love to see it remade. I'm thinking maybe Bioware could take it off the first part of Ilos where you face the two Armatures in Me1. Also I could think of a great plot for the new gametype idea involving Cerberus raiding the ruins for a backdoor onto the citadel to help the coup. I haven't got it all sorted out but it's coming to me.

Could have a token based system where you do well enough in the mission and teamwork based assists. This could count up enough to get promotional guns? Because we don't get enough of those. But you would have to collect a lot of tokens for 1 promo and it could a gun of your choice?

This.

Also, guys, this thread already has enough ideas. The last thing we need is BioWare taking a look, saying "Ermergherd, look at all that $#!+", and just completely bypassing it. What's on here works.

Great ideas but the Asari should be in the Soldier class and the Vanguard (with biotic charge) should be either the Batarian or better yet the Vorcha.

Biotic Charge + Bloodlust + awesome Vorcha biotic power.

An asari soldier class would be odd and hard because all asari have biotics. so it would still be a vangaurd.

I think they could make it work though. Considering we have the Paladin as a sentinel and a VSol with Flamer.. Technically we have engineers and infiltrators, so we could have a vanguard as a soldier.

Excellent idea for a DLC, will bring back a lot of players if BioWare makes it, also bump.
