Does anyone think EDI deserved her death in Destroy? I'm a bit glad she dies, honestly. Without the Reapers around, if she was alive, she might be the next AI threat we must deal with. She has Reaper tech and stuff, so I don't think it would be safe if she survived Destroy.

No.
And quite the opposite. First of all, acknowledgeing AIs as an absolute threat just because they're AIs is basically proving the Catalyst right. Which kind of makes picking Destroy pointless. Secondly, EDI would be exceedingly valuble if she could be brought back after Destroy, because she would be living proof that organics and synthetics can co-exist and even love one another. A template.

If you go on killing everyone based on what MAY happen, then you may as well wipe the entire earth clean. That's catalyst-thinking right there, mate.

No one ever really deserves such things. I do not believe EDI takes precedence over others though.
Which makes the situation all the more awful to choose.

I don't know, EDI might be like Skynet. Live machines can be very dangerous.

Her death is an injustice and they're meanies for throwing her under the bus to achieve their precious token sacrifice. Why couldn't it have been Delan? Why? Take him instead.

No she doesn't deserve to die. I pick Destroy anyway since it's the only way to permanently remove the reaper threat but the death of Edi/Geth really sucks.

My bigger problem is with the Geth biting it: I saved them! And now my Shepard is a mass murderer!

EDI could be brought back, I think.

Nope. I can understand the Geth having to die, they embraced Reaper Code to get self-awareness, but EDI became sentient on her own (and yes I know she is partially based on Reaper code). I actually really liked EDI's character progression, and she was the main reason I hesitated to pick destroy, since she finally felt "alive".
Also, EDI is nowhere near as dangerous as other AI. She is confined to the Normandy blue box, and as such won't be the cause of any synthetic revolution anytime soon. Sure she could cause a lot of trouble if she went rogue, but it won't be what the catalyst predicts even if you buy his baloney. Further, she has never shown any inclination to harm organics (minus a few "on their knees" jokes), and is in a committed relationship with your pilot.

destroy is the only sane choice at the end of the game so it's a shame for joker but her death was the lesser evil those other two options were messed up no way am I letting the reapers live no way

Everyone answering no, read my first post. She can be really dangerous without Reapers around.

We don't kill people based on what might happen.

Not really a question of what she "deserves". Ditto for the geth. It's an over-cherished concept. If you think destroying the reapers is the best option, then you pick it, and shepard would just have to deal with the consequences. Personally, I'd never pick synthesis(can't suspend disbelief over it, even in a universe of space magic), and control seems to me to set up for the possibility of another run-around with the reapers. So, I feel like those casualties are necessary to end the threat once and for all.
