@infinitio:  It never struck me that people on the forum demonize N7.  General consensus here is that <120 are usually not great players; even if you only play one class, it doesn't take that long to max your other classes with character cards.  Above 120 can be anything from great to horrible and that applies whether it's 120, 1200, or 12000.

Actually, when Bioware changed the matchmaking a few months ago to team people with similar N7 scores, the outcry on this forum that it was a bad idea was nearly unanimous.

Pretty much has to be on PC due to the fact that most consoles require a certain connection speed to even use their online service. (IE on console you are 10000x more likely to just get disconnected from XBL or PSN then to just "lag" cause of a slower connection.)

One of my favorite classes, but I don't play him enough, especially not lately since I've kind of moved on the the N7 Paladin.

I love how versatile the BS can be though, he has a tool for every range and his powerset is very flexible. I like running the ballistic blades/armor front-line assault/melee build myself. I've also run the all damage blades/nades aoe machine build and found it very fun and effective. At the end of the day though I like to get up close and mix it up with a shotgun in my hands.

The Batarian Soldier is amazing. I never get kicked when using him, gotta be more careful with random lobbies I guess.

Why do people on this forum demonize players who don't promote when there is literally 0 incentive to promote (other than satisfying the elitist a-holes who wont play with people who arnt N7 25632 ONRY)?

I know this is kinda offtopic to the batsol discussion but yeah

i promote sporadically.   (1) it's to prevent a-holes kicking ... the higher your N7 the lower character level you can get away with without a kick mark showing up....  people and their silly preconceptiosn
(2) -- the majority of people with N7 scores around there are not from simply chosing not to promote.  its' because they haven't played that long.   (sorry not a reason, just a statement)
(3) - frankly, i don't like to use respec cards.  i  save them in case i really regret a decision on a build.... i prefer to have the respecs maxed to leave the slot open for other things in packs.  anyway - promoting gives me the opportunity to rebuild characters, and gives me the experience of working with a low level character again.   It keeps things interesting, self imposing limitations

that said - i don't have a problem with people not promoting.  if that's your thing, that's your thing.  good on ya.  i won't vote kick an N7 120... i won't vote kick ANY n7 rating.  heck i just searched randomrandomgold and fell into a FBWGG farming game with an 80, a 106 and a 47 ..... judging by their tags they were all english and kids.  They were surprisingly competent, and surprisingly unselfish and team oriented.   of course everything started to lag out and my game froze around wave 7... which was annoying as hell as i had invested a couple rockets and medigel into it at that point... but i wouldn't kick them.   in fact, if i see kick marks flying up for anything other than 'taking way too long to ready up' i leave.  (ESPECIALLY the after-match blame-kicks ... that's when i book it... it's just so petty and childish ... i'm usually thinking "seriously?  you weren't ANY better than that guy you're vote kicking- seeya douchebags")

I keep getting kicked from Platinum games using my Batarian Sentinel, went in with a GI just to check and only one guy cared and that was due to my N7 rating.

Because demonizing / bullying is built in to some people's thought processes.  Putting others down means (to them and their like-minded buddies) they are better than that person.  You and I know its complete cr*p, but in my experience bullying goes right alongside limited intelligence / imagination / insecurity and desparate need for peer acceptance.

To me, a high N7 score could just mean the player is are a really slow learner about what build choices work for them, so I've never worked at raising it.  Some people just enjoy the challenge of another competition and thats cool, but don't expect me to be impressed by anything other than your in-game skills

Anyway, something similar happened to some of you? , is Batarian good, bad?, platinum worthy?, what is not platinum worthy?, WHY?, where is my juice?

The guy didnt know what he was talking about. I was rocking the Batarian solder last night on 5 Platinum matches straight. They buffed batarian blades so I was killing Phantoms like they couldnt throw enough at me. If you make him a power class with just Ballistic Blades to explode and something like the talon or Paladin pistol with ultra light materials and Incendiary rounds III-IV......he is going to hurt all things daring to defy him. 

Batarian soldier is definetly a Platinum class character. I'll even create a video to show it. Dont stress it OP just find a good group and another match. If I see you in my lobby I will Batarian it up with you.

My only problem with the Batarian is his lack of dodging ability. Other than that, he's pretty damn awesome.

Ballistic Blades is sick crazy damage specced for powers. Yeah I know blasphemy, no Batarian weapon racial.

ULM Hurricane with Heat Sink or Clip, ULM Talon with EB.

Cyclonic Modulator
SMG Amp III
AP Ammo III

Works very well on non-Geth Golds. Until such time when all non-rolling/dodging classes get stagger immunity, that's all they will sadly be relegated to.

Kills some seriously fun classes:

I hate booting people. N7 ranking doesn't make a better player. You don't now how good that level120 is. Even weapons and mods don't give you a good picture of the player. I've had some fun matches with players that others would boot.

I agree. I only boot for inactivity or if I have ONE more person I'm inviting to a host game.

I had some guy rally the team to boot me the other day b/c "he didn't like carrying people."

He camped in a corner as a demolisher, didn't capture any objectives that I can remember, and I revived him as much as he revived me.

I was playing a Krogan soldier for fun. I would've changed classes if he wasn't such a little **** about it.
