 Something I simply don't understand is why we aren't allowed to see any female love interest's (ex: Morrigan) boobs but it's okay for us to see the Broodmother's multiple racks. 
What's the difference? 

No, really. 
Doesn't matter if they're on a broodmother or Morrigan, wouldn't it still be against the rating system?

So it's okay for The Broodmother and The Mother to have their breasts shown but not for normal beings to have their breasts shown. Wasn't Dragon Age supposed to be 18? Even movies that have romance scenes show nudity with such a rating.

If Bioware are so hellbent on not showing breasts then they shouldn't show men's nipples either.

I believe this'd qualify as a double standard on the part of Bioware.

But I'm not sure, so I'll leave it at that.

At any rate, this is a topic brought up numerous times, and its validity remains intact -- from my personal perspective, anyway. If we can see broodmother breasts, we should be able to see Human/Elven/Dwarven/Kossith breasts.

It's nudity applied for the use of horror, not titillation.

A broodmother is pretty goddamn awful to look at in the first place. But when it starts fondling itself … suddenly you're adding sexuality into the spectacle, and turning something you would enjoy under other circumstances into something you really, really don't.

I don't really get the argument "Well, we see Broodmother breasts, so we should see male nudity too." The naked broodmothers are used for the purpose of Fan Disservice, so the logical equivalent is naked darkspawn waving their deformed penises in our faces. Are we really so keen on correcting this non-double standard?

I was actually being sarcastic and I agree with you. I hate the whole "Broodmother's have boobs, that means every other female character should show her boobs".

No one is asking for female characters to be running about nude but romance scenes should include some nudity since nudity is used in those two examples. I don't care if they're monsters, they're still nude.

I really don't understand why it's acceptable for a man to be running around topless but if a woman does it, it's evil and should be censored. I mean one only has to turn to page 3 in the newspaper over here in the UK to see a topless woman and they sell the papers to children.

So if newspapers, films and other media show topless women, why can't a dark and supposedly mature 18 rated game show lite nudity in romance scenes?

Dismemberment = Okay.
Breasts = Bad.

Logic fail.

 

 

18: Dismemberments and lots of gore but no nudity because somehow dismembered body parts littering the battlefield is somehow more acceptable than a woman's nipple showing.

Actually, I found it very helpful. They're anatomically quite similar to human vulvas, including the presence of a clitoris. Hence, I assume that asari were once a race that possessed both sexes, before an evolutionary lurch led them to become parthenogenic.
