I just bought 1 and 2 and decided to play all of them to import my character. me1 is so boring, and i suck at it really bad. i only hvae 3k gold so its impossible for me to get good weps/armor. Im doing this a rsuh job, i finished all citdel side missions, but will these side missions impact my game at all? are they worth doing? How do i make money?

You make money mostly by leveling up. Almost all monetary rewards are keyed to level: the higher level you are, the more money you get from defeating opponents/scanning resources/recovering artifacts etc.

So just keep playing! Doing some of the story quests will give you a few levels reasonably quickly, I find.

Out of curiosity, why on earth play a trilogy if the original entry is "so boring"?
If you're doing a rush-job, then you can't complain about not gaining much credits.

As for the side-quests: ultimately they're just small details in the long run, but they help to create and layer a very detailed universe throughout the trilogy - so I personally think they add to the whole experience.

It's definately worth playing through slower than at a rush pace. Like Spanishcat said, all of the side missions don't neccessarily play an important part in the story but I enjoyed seeing those characters come back through out the series, even if as simple background characters.

As far as weapons go, make sure you open every crate, locker, sludge container, etc. This is where you will find the bulk of your armory to start with, rather than simply buying weapons. Plus you can sell the items you don't want/need at any store for more credits.

MOST of the money you will make is from selling items from containers.  When you have bought all of the Spectre gear for all of your team (except poor Kaidan *evil grin*)  then you will have cash.  I keep 999 medi gel on hand, and max gold at all times.  Remember - selling stuff is where its at!

As for the game - Mass Effect one is the best story in the series.  It has incredible depth - it is amazing and really fun - and it has a good ending.  Sure - some of the graphics are a tad old, but if you trun off the film grain and have everything all amped up to max its pretty good.

I recommend you slow down and enjoy the game.  Experience the Citadel like you will never again see it!  Find all of the Keepers without pulling all of your hair out - or do Tali's Loyalty quest.  Run around out there in the cosmos and find Dr. Heart for Garrus and get Wrex's family armor.

Enjoy the game for what it is - and know that it will never be like that again.

I should stop reading right after you said ME1 is boring , however ..
1.My dear fellow spacer .. ME1 is the best out of all 3 of them and the basis of the whole ME universe is set there.
2. yes sidequests and missions affect the storyline as well.
3. you dont need gold ! you get weapons and gears from foot lockers and vaults located everywhere throughout the game.
3.you make money by doing missions and exploring. sell everything u don't need to NPC's . you get tons of stuff everywhere. very easy to make money. im surprised you're even asking how to ..
4.You get to keep everything in your inventory when re-playing the game, why re-play the game? because you can get to a much higher level in the second playthrough and therefore you will want that savegame file to load it in the Mass Effect 2 game in order to get a lot more starting bonuses.
5.Everything you do impacts the game , even a small conversation or a big gun fight is saved by the game.Wether you choose to kill someone or simply let them go will have massive impact in later games.
