Wow...sorry, but i laugh my freakin ars off whenver i hear about people caring this much about the freakin achievements. CoD4 MW, had the right idea in that achievements should help towards exp, but every other game has absolutely no incentive for them...yet some of us gamers still care so much about them...it puzzles me.

Funny enough, I had no desire to play a warrior but I decided to see if I could hack getting the level 20 warrior achievement.  Surprisingly, the sword and board warrior became my absolute favourite class.  So, yeah, in a passing attempt to see if I could get an achievement, it opened up an extremely enjoyable replay.

I'm at 79/87 and no real drive to get the last few.  I've been fortunate that most of my unlocks have just been from playing the game, as opposed to farming them.  To me, the achievement system has just shown me alternate parts of the game I might have missed, as opposed to some pokemon-like 'gotta get 'em all' collection mentality.

I never used a Respec Mod. I leveled my characters to get the ''Learn All'' achievements.

I for one thought the achievvement system ruined WoW and like other gamers, i think it's pointless to go for acheivements. Most games they do nothing but show who has the bigger epeen.

So you used the companions to drag your nearly useless characters around the entire game until you had 12-16 free talent points and just reloaded several times to unlock the acheivements?

Arena and honor points ruined WoW, not achievements.

The thing about achievements is that some are fun to get, some are a challenge. But if you get the "you never died in the entire game" achievement because you know how to reload a game when a fight went bad.... well, what's the point really. I think I got 50 achievements in my first and only run through, and some of them were simply because I reloaded the game , for example after I choose the elves and won, I reloaded and this time I fought for the werewolves, so I got both achievements in 5 minutes. I thought it was rather stupid.

I was happy with the traveller achievement, and the 75% of quests, because, that's what I play this game for. The others were meh

Basicly, Burning Crusade PVP ruined WoW. Including Arena Points. But no honor points. Before Burning Crusade it was hell lotta fun to PVP. Have a Guild-Based 40 Men vs 40 Men in AV. All on vent. It was fun

Alright, so I got all achievements after leveling a 22 Warr, 25 Warr, 25 Rogue and a 25 Mage. Finally, but what now? Is there anything special for those who achieve 87 Achievements?

Hey, at least we don't have some achievement like those in Risen... The Idiot .. one who fell to death 3 times... since we can jump there, some people just do it, jump off a cliff and suicide 3 times! It's just as easy to fall when trying to jump a large gap over a lava river...

The seals here are cool but I must say... I was tricked into that one with Zevran!!! Can we delete achievements? lol... j/k... what's done is done... argh...

Having a 25 anything usually means using the XP bug in Ostagar or Lothering, since currently the game doesn't have enough XP to get you past about 23.  You just half turn in a quest for 5 minutes, and 25.  Save an character at 20 with no point assignments, reload and voila, achievements.

The fact that it's easy enough to use a bug exploit or a cheat to get you all 87 achievements kind of makes the idea of being rewarded for that a little moot, don't you think?  Heck I got two of my achievements from my companions.  The Assault and the Mighty Blows achievements were both triggered by companions while I was playing a mage.

If you try for achievements, they're kind of meanignless unless you actually did the stuff they entail.  Actually achieving them, if you even care about the system, is reward enough in my opinion.

True.. the achievement itself is the reward but now, buying some 5000 elfroots at level 23 and turning them to the Archers at the camp and instantly going to 25... was cool! Not really a cheat since the game allows it fairly! I'm sure I bought way over the necessary too!

I got the Mighty Blow. Punisher and Assault from companions. I did, but I got Arrow of Slaying and Whirlwind myself. Also I did not use the Ostagar bug. Becouse I downloaded the latest patch that fixed the bug right after I got the game. Also I leveled every single mage to get the Learn All achievements, I finished the game with them, and deleted them.

And becoming level 25 is not that hard. I admit that I used the Elfroot thing. But that was only for 1 character becouse I was bored doing the same Side-Quests over and over again.

haha, I was wondering how many it would take to get capped XP (why I added the 'usually' into my original post).  I saved up all my extra runes, gems and crafting supplies on one playthrough and barely saw the meter move.  Woo, just turned in a backpack full of stuff and went from 22.87 to 22.89.  Awesome!  :o

One filled backpack of elfroot gave me some 1000XP each time. It's a quick way, yes. You pay for the elfroot so it is partially legit, yes. But it takes out the fun, so I prefer not donating goods to the armies.

And besides, by buying the best of the best equipment out there, you have to spend some 500 sovereigns... and that's a lot...

I'm trying to get all the achievements, but it is mostly just because I want to try all the classes, that and I want to say I finished at least one game 100% completely. I have never done that before, but I love this game so much I thought I might try.

Of course I will be rather mad if I get all the achievements and it says: Amount of Dragon Age: Origins Complete: 98%. I think I'm at like 87% and have to finish 2h,shield,all mage, archery talent lines, then not die Landsmeet/All game.
