Don't have a problem with any of your buffs. I'd also like to see several AR's get buffs. I don't think Annihilation Field will get nerfed though. Any power that requires one of the squishiest characters in the game to get in close range of enemies to really work well is pretty balanced in my opinion.holdenagincourt wrote...
I'm hoping for buffs to sniper rifles, Sticky Grenade, Sabotage, several SMGs (Locust, Hornet, GPSMG), GPR, Crusader, Eagle, Cryo Blast and Incinerate radius evolutions. The force change on Phantoms should go live as well.
I wouldn't mind seeing Annihilation Field toned down, honestly. The number of bonuses it grants is a bit over the top. My sense is that shotguns are too dominant in the higher difficulties but this is more due to game mechanics and AI behavior than anything else, so not sure what could be done to encourage more use of SRs and SMGs. My guess is that the GI will be getting another review soon, whether this week or in the near future, because Platinum just further separates him (and the QMI, who got nerfed last week) from the pack.
Balance Changes probably coming tomorrow

Incisor buff:
Recoil kicks after all 3 shots are on the way
To be realistic, this is impossible. Even if you manage to put all 3 bullets in the barrel at once or 3 different barrels, it would still kick. The closest to what you want would be the 3 barrel option, but for a sniperrifle, itd be stupid to do so. would be incredibly inaccurate at distance, and youd most likely to aim for the chest every shot.

do you guys literally think theres a secret group of people who are out to ruin your fun?
There really does seem to be....
Nah. Im just screwing with you.
This group is nothing more than a bunch of butthurt noobs who band togeather to try to nerf all the things so they might finally only get outscored by a quearter of a hundred not the full.
Or maybe its just space monkeys putting ideas into the biowere balance teams heads... Who am I to know?

Mmmm.. Its describes that it shoots 3 bullets per pull of the trigger. This does not mean there are 3 bullets in the barrel at once. It means one bullet is fired, the bolt moves back, chambers a new round, fires it, goes back, chambers, fires, chambers and stops. This is all caused by a single trigger pull. This is how guns work, even in the Mass Effect universe. Well, most of them anyways.
There are 2 factors that cause recoil.
The escaping gasses (its replaced by something in mass effect as they dont use gas to rpopel the bullets)
and
The bolt moving back and forth after each shot.
Most people think that the first factor is what causes the main part of recoil, which it is on non-automatic weapons(IE, revolver, Semi-automatic, and single shot bolt actions), but on any gun that firses more then one bullet per triggerpull, its the second factor that causes the majority of the recoil.

It's completely overpowered below Gold, and arguably on waves 1-7 of Gold as well. On Platinum not so much because boss units, synthetics and armored enemies don't panic when caught in the field, but Platinum itself is the problem in this case and it's difficult to balance around it.
I just think some of the bonuses need to be toned down. 20% movement speed bonus in a single evolution? FFS. Not to mention the entirely unnecessary uber-Throw she has (higher base values and evolution 5 bonuses).

Plus shield gate bypass for the javelin.
Plus nerf the Geth. Seriously. Incisor rocket launcher is not fun.
Plus a buff on the Eagle and the Wraith (and maybe the Crusader, I don't own it)
Plus a complete rework of the shop system.
Plus a fix of all glitches.
Plus a fix of all connection issues.

Reduce the Piranha's pellets from 8 to 4
This just made me have an idea for a pirahnna "balance" that would of been better then reducing its damage outright.
Reduce damage per pellet by a certain amount.
Increase pellets per round to compensate so it does the same amount of damage.
Increase pellet spread.
Reduce effectiveness of accuracy bonuses when it is equipped.
Now its purely for close range, otherwise itll deal highly reduced damage due to a high amount of pellets missing.

Noobs like Goddless Paladin, one of the first four people outside of Bioware to beat Platinum? If you actually paid attention to the arguments rather than dismissing them out of hand and insulting the users behind them, you'd realise that most players that want balance are actually really, really good, while those who complain often use "I can't win without it!" as the cornerstone of their arguments.. You'd also realise that they don't just want nerfs. They want balance. I'd be called a nerfer, yet in this very thread I've advocated 4 buffs and 0 nerfs.

I probably will aswell, though I may play occasionally. Them nerfing everything and only occasionally buff things that somewhat need the buffs is getting annyoing. There are PLENTY of things that need buffed.
Count how many nerfs there've been.
Now count how many buffs there've been.
You'll notice at this point that you're utterly, mathematically, wrong.
And don't bother arguing about "severity". The aforementioned Goddless Paladin wrote a rather magnificent thread that totally disproved that as well.

Doesnt change the fact that all the things they have buffed are still sub-par and most of their nerfs target single weapons repeatedly. If you seriously think them making these "balances" is helping the game, have fun taking half an hour to find a public match in about 4-5 months. If that.
Also dont assume I dont know the amount of buffs vs nerfs. They were on quite a buff streak, but all those buffs barely had an impact. Each nerf tends to hold more of an impact. There have been nerfs that were needed. But most of them were overkill. IE Kishock, Krysae, and Typhoon.
EDIT: Actually the Kishocks wasnt a nerf, it was a fix. Regardless that fix hurt its main purpose.
