What are some things you have noticed that are very subtle but interesting? Here's a few to get started:

- Most turians names end with "us" (garrus tactus victus corinthus etc)

- If you listen to her whole story, the asari in Huerta hospital talking to the other asari reveals she killed joker's sister (her name was hillary, she was 15 yrs old)

- if you look at the lower level of purgatory bar in mass effect 3, the people there are all static and don't move at all

- no matter how long you wait, there will always be smoke in the presidium commons in me3 from the Cerberus citadel attack

- If you remember the glitch in me2 where conrad verner accuses you of pointing a gun at him and choosing the renegade option in me1 even if you picked the paragon option, he mentions it in me3 and apologizes for accusing you of it when you didnt.

Feel free to add any subtle things you have noticed

haha i loved the "thermal clip" conversation you have with conrad. he didnt know weapons switched to thermal clips and still thought they overheated like in mass effect 1. oh and when he asks you the same question 2 times in a row. a bioware employee said it was like a joke about how the dialogue system works in rpgs

lol yea I noticed. If you ask him about his job, he also makes a reference to RPGs saying he likes righting wrongs, talks to people as if they're just standing there waiting for him to talk to them, going through crates for credits, etc. I forgot which game he said it in

- During Tali's Loyalty mission in ME2, you can find a log of a female Quarian leaving a message for her son Jonah. During the mission to rescue Koris in ME3, the dying male Quarian engineer you come across mentions his son, Jonah.

- After Aria asks you to help unite the Mercs under her, go back and talk to her before doing so. If the last question you ask is the top left option ("Aria"), you'll get a unique goodbye option. I found it pretty funny. The exchange:

Shepard: What's new with you?
Aria: That supposed to be funny? Let's see -- I've lost Omega, I got C-Sec eyes all over me, and I'm holed up in this poor excuse for a nightclub. Can't even get Noverian Rum here. In other words, I'm in hell.
Shepard: Sounds like you have a lot to worry about. I'll get out of your hair.
Aria: You're quite the comedian today.

- There's also a lot of "dream" dialogue. This vid details alot of it.

Also, I only noticed that each weapon has a unique "collapsing" noise on my fourth playthrough.

If you listen to the news in ME2, the announcer says Conrad Verner is killed falling from a skycar.

Salarians look almost exactly like the Greys described by many believers of extra-terrestrials, and they have a propensity of collecting specimens of less advanced species for genetic testing.

Most Asari have names that have the letter a 2 or 3 times in it.

Another one I forgot to add. If you completed Citadel: the fan, feros: data recovery, UNC: asari writings, and you obtain the Elkoss combine license (all side quests in me1), talking to Conrad verner in me3 BEFORE you fix the medigel dispensers (docks: holding area) will give you extra dialogue and a "Dark Energy Dissertation" war asset

Does the fact that Conrad apologizes for claiming that Shepard Renegaded him mean that he would accuse you of Renegading him in ME2 no matter what?

Was it a way to explain a conversation flag bug, instead of fixing it in ME2?

I ask this with thought to the LotSB flag bug in ME3, where Liara never remembers your encounter on the Normandy.

It would suck if they never fixed it. I'm playing on Xbox man, I can't fix it myself like the PC Master Race people can.

Yes; IIRC a dev admitted as much.

Thanks. I thought as much. This means that the LotSB flag bug won't be fixed either, I bet.

No need to invite Liara to the Normandy after LotSB anymore, she won't remember it anyway :(

Both of those can be fixed with Gibbed's Save editor. I managed to get Conrad's paragon responses in ME2 and Liara mentioned visiting the Normandy when I romanced her in ME3. It's also helpful in fixing a few other bugs, like completing the Hanar Ambassador quest when it gets stuck.

If you look at the "sky" on the citadel, it looks painted on due to the shape of the citadel. Looks more like a ceiling with sky painted on

Liara talking to Garrus in the rec room has a smoking cigarette in an ash tray in front if her... but I have never seen her or anyone smoking! Not Garrus as he is nursing a drink.

Eve gives Shepard a crystal she dug her way out of the cave with during her Shamanic ritual and says, "In the darkest hour, there is always a way out." Hmmm.....

ME1 - the mission Signal tracking. Shepard find out that the cash flows to an AI computer. After a interesting and rare dialogue with the AI, it tells Shepard that only way how can organics get rid of an AI is to either destroy it or control it. The AI wanted to buy a frigate to which it'd upload and "live" free.  It was also hostile to organics.

Oh, wow, I remember thinking that seemed important when it happened, but then I must have completely forgot about it.

Reminds me of this

Exactly! Maybe Shepard has it on her and clutrches it at some point...Who knows? But the point about things like that when you write a story is - Don't draw attention to something you are not going to ever mention again or you cheat the reader!

turians having the -us names mostly due to influence from Romans, most of their names are Roman-ish.

the kid from the intro seemed to jump a lot of buildings during the opening sequences (from garden rooftop to patio rooftop, also buildings are from different side of the Alliance Court building)
