I read the opening post as "a not taking this article seriously at all because it conflicts with my opinion" type of post. You know, the one to make fun of everything and spark a round of random debates, butt-slaps by those who agree, and trolls.

Call me cynical I guess. I do apologize I am a bit a ornery right now myself, so I was just calling it as I saw it.

It isn't cynical to call it as you see it. Sport commentators do it all the time, and if memory serves, I've seen the OP do this before. I just wasn't sure if you were being sarcastic or not. Hard to tell through text sometimes.
