No. It was a really fail end to that trilogy and not just because of the literal end. ME3 as a game sucked.

Dont forget worst fanbase.

Yes, a fanbase that wants you to make an effort and takes you to task for not bothering is a terrible one to have. Life is much easier for you if your fans are happy with whatever you throw at them.

LOL...don't know about "worst," but there are more than a few whiny and biopolar gamers with anger management issues hanging around here.

It has one of the most committed fanbases I've ever seen. You could even replace committed with obsessed in a few cases.

IMO that's a good thing.

Its got something to do that most bioware fans also are fans of Roleplaying. So we have a conflict of old fans and new target audience.

Nope.

Disappointing from start to end, excluding Tuchanka. The ending was just the icing on the cake.

An average game if taken individually, but as a part of the ME series it is a sub par entry. I think I'm starting to get why my parents got so pissed off when my marks dropped from A+ to C when I stopped trying in school. C isn't bad, but its a clear sign that I wasn't trying at all.

I'll give it a yes. The ending was a massive let-down, but I really did enjoy most of the game. It didn't quite live up to my expectations, but my expectations were insanely high and after multiple playthroughs I still enjoy most of the game. There are so few developers now who place an emphasis on story and characters, and while the story is lacking in places the characters and the dialogue are as good as, and often better, than they've ever been imo. And thats why I enjoy the ME games: the characters.

Plus, its still better than the vast majority of games I've played, even with those endings.

Considering this is a self-selective poll, it will not be accurate.

Also, does it matter? Nothing is ever going to change, ever.

Yes, one of the best £40's I ever spent considering the many other games of the same price out there.

No because it stared as RPG, and I wanted to play RPG game not action shooter with fetch type quest, autodialogue etc. BW changed the audience and the rules of the game during the trillogy (ME1 and ME2 you could win against the odds, do the impossible and in ME3 now you can't have miracle victory), and that's what most people didn't like.

No is winning.

No.

It was rushed out the door unfinished and buggy (face importer a big example) with a main plot line that was pulled out of someone's rear, fewer N7 side quests, not enough paragon/renegade options including the the interupt system, auto dialog to the point I felt like I was watching a movie instead of playing a game, Dianna Allers (need I say more on her?), a total shooter now with a hint of RPG and an ending that was utter crap.

The only thing they got right was how the Krogan Genophage and the Quarian and Geth war were resolved. Even then you got a middle finger salute with a cheap photoshoped Tali unmasked photo.

I’d say more but whats the point anymore.

I liked it, but it's not nearly as good as the first two games. But honestly, how many games are as good as ME1 and ME2? It was disappointing, but still good.

Yes I am. Is it the best game I've ever played? No. But it's definitely been worth the money I spent on it.

+1

Also the 60/40 No/Yes split does not seem to show the landslide of hatred that some forum posters would have you believe.

I'm willing to agree that BW need to do better next time, if the angry part of the "no" camp can admit that a few of us (40%) liked ME3. Over to you....

We'll it is a self selecting poll, and you could argue that most people who run to a forum have an axe to grind. If you search online for ME3 polls it comes out all over the place from being one of the best games of 2012 to being one of the worst.

But at least this poll has no loaded question.

I'm disappointed at the answer (I'm in the Yes camp) but I accept that the majority of gamers didn't like it, and BW need to try harder next time.  The difference between me and the haters is that I try to give constructive feedback rather than the abuse that many seem to resort to.

It disappoints me that more threads on the forum don't offer positive ideas for future ME type games.

I'm neither disappointed or surprised at the results.  This ratio is indicated on the forums every day.  However, the sample size is going to be detremental to actually proving anything, but it is far and away better than some of the polls that straight out make you pick "fanboy" or "hater" if you want to vote, even if neither position actually suits you.  You're going to, of course get votes from both camps, along with the people that can look past the endings and either like or dislike the game.  You are going to get the people that cannot look past the endings, and so went on a witch hunt for other things to nitpick.  My favorite was a graph recently that showed that none of the choices you made mattered, or people that express that belief, despite the fact that a lot of the decisions do carry over from game to game.  I've had a single WTF moment, in that TIM gets the human reaper no matter what, although things like the Rachni Queen, whom I always release, can be killed and yet we still get a "queen variant".  If I'd killed the queen that would be a WTF moment for me, so I can see that one being on a lot of lists consistently, since there are those that consistently kill her too.

But, I have never had most of my other choices be ignored.  My VS survivor is always the one that I chose to survive, even if I do wind up regretting not being able to kill both of them.  I don't get Wreav when I should have Wrex, and I don't suddenly have, or not have Maelon's data.  People that died in SM don't show up in 3, etc etc.  It gets easy to get hung up on a single aspect, go witch hunting, and wind up making blanket statements that can't be supported, yet still manage to find a few that will +1 it, despite knowing that it's inherently false, because it's another point to bash ME on.  There are a lot of people that are legitimately disappointed with the game, I'm one, due to the ending.  I am not, however, one that allows the destination to mess up the journey.  I had a lot of fun getting there, and I'm not willing to say otherwise to "fit in".

No, I'm not satisfied. I played Mass Effect 2 about 7 times in the approximate year I got it before ME3 came out. I was expecting the same sort of polish and replay value in ME3.

I didn't get that. I got bizarre face imports, fewer dialogue choices, fewer side missions, buggy animations (seriously, who designed the 270-degree head turns?), and a story that feels like it abandoned many of the things foreshadowed in ME2.

I don't feel like I'll have a significantly different experience on my other Shepards, and a couple of them will feel seriously out of character due to Bioware more strongly enforcing their vision of Shepard.

The combat, skill trees, and weapon customization are a great improvement over ME2, but in the areas that, for me, encourage replay value, the game is a serious disappointment.
