I was wondering what the best personality for a male paragade soldier would be... First thought was War Hero, because even hero's get their hands dirty at critical situations. He kept his squad alive (except for that racist Ashley girl), is an overall nice guy but won't hold back if a good punch in the enemies' face solves the matter :)

Now on the mission for Thane... would he or would he not throw the merc out? I mean, we're on a timescale and some loser is getting in the way of a critical mission... what did your paragades do?

Looking forward to seeing answers! :)

So, if you´re still around....

Every background would suit a paragade ( Ruthless not necessarily, but people can change...^^). I guess War Hero´s alright!

As for the merc - it pretty much depends on how your Shep is and how his/her day was :D (but I´d through him out, cuz it was a cool scene xD)

Nice question. I have varying degrees of "Paragade" Shepards, and MOST of them toss the merc off the roof. They tend to have a feeling (based on the way the merc talks to Shep), that they will end up just shooting him anyway. So, might as well save the thermal clip...*toss*. :D

Those Sheps that are more on the Paragon side of Paragade (usually indicated by just a smattering of Renegade), will usually let him go, but I tend to play Paragades with a bit more Renegade than mentioned above.

I also usually "ZAP" the Batarian too, in Garrus RM. ;P

**EDIT**

As for the background: If I am playing a Paragade with a Spacer background, I usually go for Sole Survivor (seems to give good reasoning to why they are, well, the way they are.)  And if I have Earthborn/Colonist background Paragade Shepards, I usually choose War Hero.  Again, not always (I really don't have a problem imagining even a Spacer/War Hero, with reason for using a few renegade options...usually make something up for myself in their backstories.  Hell, I'll even follow that for a few of my Earthborn/Colonist/Sole Survivor Sheps, of why they would end up being more Paragade than say Renegon.)

Any of the personal backgrounds can work with any morality, you just have to think about how your Shepard chose to deal with it. A paragade (or even straight-up paragon) with the Ruthless background, for example, might have landed on Torfan with a succeed-at-all-any-cost mentality; but after spending his squadmates' lives like arrows from his quiver, and waking up every night with their vacant eyes staring from his dreams for weeks afterwards, vowed to find a better way from then on.

As for the eclipse merc in Dantius Towers: my paragade Shepard suspected that the merc was about to radio ahead and warn his buddies (like the wounded Blue Suns merc did in Grunt's recruitment mission), and therefore sent him flying before he had the chance.
