I remember seeing screenshots from very similar survey things for video games in the past, even down to the green highlight thing. It's basically another method of focus grouping.
It may well be 100% legit. Time will tell. Laidlaw's tweet was a bit evasive, don't you think? He could have just said "No, that's not legitimate." but he commented on the text and paragraph structure.

Why? Cole realized what he is at the end of Asunder and the description provided to us here says he's trying to decide who he wants to be. Doesn't seem much different than EDI in ME3 to me. We know that there are "good" spirits, not just demons. So why not somethin in between? There must be something between the spirit that was in Wynne and the demons that want to bring chaos to the world.

It seems to me that if Cole killed mages, this is not good.

I'll agree to that, though it seems here that David Gaider heavily implied that the Cole situation definitely involved a demon.

Either way, I'm not interested in him as a companion. He'll either be a scared kid, a scary abomination, or yeah, an Edi-alike. Not my cup of tea. 
Or at least, I'll say I'd have to know more - Bioware always has a way of making me love something I never intended to.
