To be completely honest with the epic fail of me3 im kinda lost as far as gaming goes i was playing skyrim but got bored so im back on dragon age 1 and 2 and fallout 3 and new vegas i hope dragon age 3 is as good as it should be Bioware were gods in the gaming industry they were storytellers unmatched now i dont know

Who better to hunt a mage than a mage? Plenty of mages work with the Chantry in the lore, it's more logical to assume it would be possible than to assume it's not unless one wants to be dramatic and asusme the sky is falling.

So, taking it at face value: Yay, Cole! The others sound fine enough as well. Not too keen on being forced into playing an Inquisitor, though. 'Though TBH I'm at a loss at what would be a better option for the plot, so: meh.

Why? Because I doubted the last five BioWare leaks and each one proved to be accurate.

Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results.

I don't understand why people are getting up in arms about being forced to play "Pro-Chantry". There is nothing mentioned about the new "Inquisition" that suggests pro-anything.

An "Inquisitor" is someone who inquires. What they inquire about is entirely up to them or their employers. Unless the Chantry runs the Inquisition (and given its loss of power, that seems unlikely), there's no reason to assume the Inquisitor is a pro-Chantry character.

No, that's a skinner box. You keep doing it because with enough repetition a different result will happen.

Given the events of Asunder, I find it hard to believe that an "Inquisitor" would be a mage. I'd like a good explanation as to why they would allow a mage to flit about the world unsupervised, if that were the case.

And that description of the Iron Bull sounds poorly written, if not fake (I too, have trouble believing someone with an Allers avatar). He's not a qunari, based on the description of his personality.

The names are really really bad , i guess it's placeholders.

(PS. The lore behind that supposed qunari character doesn't make a lot of sense, for a couple of reasons.)

I won't actually believe it until I hear/read an official announcement.

Assuming it is true, though, it does sound interesting. Already starting in a position of power (somewhat) and then increasing your power base through the course of the game should be fun. :-)

This "Iron Bull" character has potential. Like a cross between your average Qunari and Oghren, it sounds like.

Although... we had enough trouble with Oghren getting drunk all of the time being only three foot tall. Do we really want a seven foot tall belligerent Kossith running around camp?

Also - just went through the whole thread and I don't know how we swung from "totally inaccurate and implausible" to "well, that seems legit" in the span of a couple pages? I'm still saying that while the OP may have not made this material, it still hardly seems real.

I've kind of wondered this as well. In my limited experience with NDAs, what the OP did would be, at the least, highly looked down on.

I think it is probabl a mixture of bukl and truth just like the screenshots for the first Mass Effect 3 MP DLC, when someone stated that it was also going to be the "Truth" DLc ending too. I am prett sure that that's not the list of the companions, but npcs in the game. You get 4 companions, and three of them male. An a Quanari called "Iron Bull" I have hard time believing that would a legitimate name for a character in the DA universe. I can see the antaganist of the series being called the Inquistor, but I doubt any game would make you the Inquistor. Lol, it would be like giving the character the title, "The **** " or "Hooded American South Rider."

I agree.  The whole mage/templar conflict isn't that compelling to be anything more than just side stories to me.  Where's Morrigan?
