I'm usually the one on extraction who will fire off a rocket to clear the room before the final run to the extraction point. If you're holding down a specific place on the opposite side of the map, fire one off at about 20 seconds then have the team run like hell.

Yea I watch people from the death cam use them because tbh once we get all the wave 10 credits i get grabbed by a banshee or something and then the same on wave 11.... why bother continuing when there are literally 0 rewards (i only play gold/platinum with lvl 20 characters).

No, since character cards stopped dropping, leveling up characters isn't as easy. Since wave eleven spawns never stop, it's quite easy to rack up the points by hitting up spawns.

I use missles as I see fit. I like getting full extraction. When someone is about to be insta killed I like saving em as well. Some times I dont use a single missle and entire game, some times I use all 5.

never mind, i just find it crazy that i had to spend 2-3 rocket to clear some gold crowd in wave 10, and then these randoms just fires off 3-4 rockets AFTERWARDS like it mattered.
Some even medi-gelled in wave 11. Wtf?

Just for fun I suppose. I use any remaining rockets on wave 11 because I have so many to spare. Ops packs force me to buy JEPs long before rockets do.

I think that's happened maybe once in a gold match. Had two rockets left. Was amazed.

Don't really like using missile in extraction wave since you can move around the map and harrass the enemies to stall them and prevent them from respawning. The only thing that worth a missile is Banshee.

Killstreaks are fun? So is extraction. Also, if a pack purchase is imminent, I'll burn some missiles if I'm going to get them in the next pack anyway. If I've used one legitimately, might as well use four more, cap being 255 and all.

Well, some people play for extraction, not to farm credits. And maybe the rockets weren't needed on Wave 10....since they got to the extraction level without having to use them.

Not sure I can explain it.  Basically, dying on purpose = losing.  Extracting and surviving = win.  Who cares if it costs a few extra medi-gel or rockets.  Like they really matter?  Like buying an extra PSP will make the game infinitely better somehow?

Some people play to acquire "things" (which are not real anyway), some people play to get the highest score or N7 rating, some people play to win and finish/extract as a team, etc.  To each, his/her own.  No right or wrong way to play... just play the style you enjoy most.

A. They're my rockets (or medi-gel, or thermal clip packs, etc.) and I'll use them if I choose.
B. It's not really any of your (or anyone else's) concern.

I don't mean to be rude, but I'm sick of posts like this. Play your game. If you're playing with me and we reach Wave 11 (and we will, if you hold your end), what I do with my consumables is my own damned business.

If I have any left over/not used on wave 10, then I'll sometimes shoot rockets around during extraction for fun. I like to shoot the shuttle as it comes to pick us up. If people don't use them on wave 10 when they're needed however, well...that is just not very smart.

Two reasons. First, points, as many people have mentioned. I'm not 100% sure I buy that argument (because a dead Banshee is worth the same number of points on Wave 8 as it is on Wave 11), but it's a possibility.

Second, ignorance. People think extractions do something besides give EXP that count for nothing on level 20 characters. They probably think they get more credits, either from having a higher score or for extracting. They're wrong, but that's probably why they do it.

What's irritating to me is people who don't use rockets on objectives when we need them and then bust 'em on on extractions. I'm always thinking, "Dude, where was that thing a few minutes ago?"

I'll use my missiles (on Gold) to nuke spawn points on waves 5, 8, and 9 (3 and 10 if Target objective, and on Platinum I'll go for killstreaks here and there as I see them but will tend towards greater conservation), but if I've got any left by wave 11 I won't hesitate to use them, leading me to often do just that. Saving missiles specifically for wave 11 at the expense of earlier waves would obviously be silly, but apart from that people are free to fire away as they see fit.
