Really? I had no idea that during his busy schedule of pestering Picard on the Enterprise and designing gadgets for James Bond he also has time to enhance virtual animals.Posted Image

The damage and the hitpoints are only changed if you unlock the last ranger ability. The summoned creatures use fixed values as far as I know.

I don't know what the actual numbers are, but IMHO the ranger pets are a good investment. They serve as an additional target for enemies, deal decent damage, and rarely die.



Unfortunately they do not follow you from one area to the next and you have to wait for the cooldown period before summoning a new one. That should be fixed. Other sustained abilities can be carried from one map to the next - why not the ranger pets? If it is necessary for programming reasons for the pet to disappear when leaving an area, then the cooldown period should not apply if the pet vanishes because of a map change.



I have also noticed that the party can only have one pet regardless of how many rangers there are, yet two or more bards can sing simultaneously even though that would sound awful if they were different songs.

Only true on the console versions.
