Been trying to get the Krogan Vanguard for a while now but no luck. 

Would it improve my chances if I were to delete all dlcs except the Resurgence Pack and unlock psps?

After reading this thread I had to go play my kroguard again. Solo'd bronze/jade/geth. It was awesome charging all over the place and not worrying about anything - rocket troopers, pyros, hunters, primes. Most fun was charging and meleeing the primes to death.

The kroguard is a delight. I don't bother with heavier weapons so that I can Charge constantly. So my kroguard traipses around with his Armani clutch, also known as the Eagle, and just uses it for melee damage increases.

Happens less if you host. I think this is universal to all biotic charges.

Yes it is. Sometimes you have to shoot enemy to "lock it" before charging. Annoying. That's why one day I decided: no vanguard on silver (or above) unless I'm hosting. But with krogan vanguard things are different. Protection is so strong, that this delay doesn't really matter.

I want to ramp them so bad..... i have seen the video so i know it can be done... but man i could not live down the shame of being instakilled if it failed.

I remember well the sheer joy when I played my first match with my Kroguard and could not die if I tried. I also remember headbutting everything. Easily my favourite Krogan character.

You can easily solo non-objective rounds as a Kroguard on Gold vs the Geth. 4 Primes? No problem.
