That's mainly because you are on the PC. DLCs run flawlessly on the xbox360.....as does the game itself. You made your choice when you bought the PC version and now you're left alone with all the problems and a broken game.......I am surprised you were actually expecting anything other than a wreck. For a looooong time before DAO came out I have known it would be no good on the PC.
Too bad so sad for you......I personally am looking forward to more awesome DLC on a console that has again and again proven 100% reliable.
rofl, what a load. You are on quite the anti-pc crusade. I havent had any problems at all with any of the DLC, and i have all of it, during two complete runs through the game. I am however enjoying a number of user created mods to enchance the game beyond what the devs provided us. Sure, a few people have problems, the majority do not however.

First off, those saying that their DLC works and therefore that it must be all his fault, please consider the fact that just because it works fine on one setup does not mean it is not buggy. Maybe you just haven't performed the sequence of actions that he has unknowingly done such as visiting a location before visiting another location that causes this, or an incompatibility with drivers or even just complete randomness on when the bug occurs (though usually there is something unknown to the user that may trigger it). Considering the lack of support he has been given from customer support we do not know and therefore should consider it until proven otherwise.
And again to those who can't read, I did state that it is more than likely to be his hardware and not the game...

Course, that's not gonna stop me from buying DLC (too late, for one thing.. not that this post would have swayed me one way or the other)... I've been buying DLC from Bioware since the NWN days. Never had a problem. Count me as along time happy customer.
Oh, and in response to Darth -
The xbox and ps3 versions certainly have their purpose - they are great for folks who only want the "out of the box" experience.. For the more technically savvy of us though, who want to create our own mods and tinker.. those versions just won't do.

I have never had any issues with DLC. Perhaps I am one of the lucky few that have never had an installation issue, or in game issue. Either way thats all I can say about this. The quality of DLC has been good so far with Warden's Keep being short but at least well formed. Stone Prisoner was excellent.
I've had the same experience as well.

Me too, and although the business about not being to re-enter WK was disappointing at first, I got over it real quick.wipackersfan wrote...

Minor Spoiler Alert
Shale is the best thing that has happened to my game. Another HK-47 wrapped in a more cuddly package!!
End Spoiler.
Honestly though, there are always going to be issues with new content. Try playing Fallout 3 and loading up THAT DLC. It conflicts with the main game in more places than most user-created content, even ones that overhaul the ENTIRE GAME.
To end this, try sending your request to the right people (Bioware, not EA) and pst your issue in the Technical support forum, as that tends to get a faster and more comprehensive answer than just about any official tech support line. There are a lot of people on these forums and they have probably encountered the same problem you have.

all the "pc elitists vs console lovers" arguing aside, the console versions are much easier to make, because every xbox runs the same (except for modded ones) the pc version has had more bugs with dlc and so on, but they get fixed through patches, or bioware customer support. bioware made the game, they are who you should talk to for support . EA pretty much gave bioware some money to help out with the game, and then slapped their name on it.
but everyone, except for people who know nothing of games, refers to it as "biowares newest rpg".

I merely stated facts in a direct response to provide contrast to his gratuitous distortions. Whether you consider those facts superior is another issue entirely; try not to extrapolate my intent so as to imply hypocrisy. You would not see me posting irrelevancy in the Xbox 360 forums, because technical issues on that platform do not concern me in the slightest, and unlike Darth_Trethon I have no incessant need to vent hyperbole stemming from an underlying complex of inferiority/superiority, depending on your perspective.Deathstyk85 wrote...

For those that aren't having problems, that's great, but it's not helping the OP. I'm currently experiencing a similar issue. My Warden's Keep DLC has disappeared off the map as well. I had no issues with it at all in my first run through the game and in this second run it was working fine for at least the first thirty hours. I'm investigating what the cause is, but haven't figured it out yet. I do have a few mods installed, so will try disabling them and see if that makes a difference. If not, then I'll try the solutions in the thread linked by Finiffa.

both have their advantages and disadvantages. in the end its merely personal preference, i played both versions(a friend had the xbox, and my uncle had the pc version) and i simply liked how the console played better. but like i said, when it comes to technical aspects, they both have their ups and downs. the only glitch/bug ive noticed on the console version, is on a few different places, the voice comes out of the wrong persons mouth. >.<
but like i said, the pc version does have a few more bugs, because every pc is different (well partly because of this) but they are usually easily fixed.

I had a bit of a problem with one of the DLC (Warden's Keep), but luckily for me the EA support folk were able to help and they got back to me within 12 hours.
I think the quality of the DLC is varied. The Stone Prisoner is pretty good value for money, I think. I'm not as convinced by The Warden's Keep value though. I was expecting more content, though I do love the storage addition. (And Alistair looks fine in the armour
I hope you manage to find some support from the forums. A lot of people on here can be rather helpful. Good luck.

I am sorry but you are completely incorrect in saying...
"I am one of the lucky few that have never had an installation issue, or in game issue."
Lucky few? If so, so am I and so are about 99% of DAO players. The OP is a rant describing one, repeat one, player who has had problems with DLC. I can understand his frustration but he has let that emotion cloud his common sense in trying to rectify the situation. Going balistic on Bioware because he did not receive the kind of treatment he believes he deserves from EA is just nonsensical.
If, as it has been suggested, he would have politely posted his problems on the Tech Forum he probably would have had the issue cleared up in short order.
Some people would rather b**** than work.

Nope it s not hardware related sometimes DLC breaks i had shale break one time the merchant was giving me the rod saying there is the village and the village never showed up i had to manually delete the DLC and re download it again from another place ( i think it s in the link someone tossed i did nt really read the link that was given) so hardware is not the failure but they break sometimes , just because you never had problems does nt mean that it s the user's computer thats faulty
About him getting an answer from EA well there are plenty of posts made by mods saying if you get problems post at help.dragonage or something and it sends you at EA and EA dont do nothing , i m saying this because i have problems with updating characters and was told to post at the helpdragonage thinggy and got the same answer as the OP , bioware sends you to EA and EA sends you back here nice ping pong game going on around here

Thats assuming that winning the lotto is worth more then your $5.00 bet, which is subjective to the purchaser of the ticket.
