well at least your honest that nerfers want to kill wepons rather than balance them. 

I'd say the krysae was a special case because it was literally sniping for dummies.

It rewarded poor aim with homing rounds and splash damage, and was amongst the more powerful snipers dps wise.
I'm normally against nerfs of any kind but being an experienced sniper infiltrator, the second I picked this thing up I knew it was bound to get hit with the nerf bat eventually.

Krysae is still pretty strong for Infiltrator on Gold, and probably other weapon classes. Good for staggering and taking down groups of soft targets. Good for killing mid-level Armored units like Pyro, Brute and Ravager. I only find it lacking in taking down bosses, where DPS matters most and the ROF nerf is really felt. Of course, it wasn't that great at boss killing before the nerf anyway.

Pretty much this. Still quite usable on Gold.
Kills better than a low level Valiant for those not very good at gun play.

I don't see a use for it. If you're looking for CC and stagger, a falcon is better. If you're looking for damage, anything except the falcon is better.

I was glad to see it gone. It was in every lobby, on 1-3 players, every damn game before it was nerfed. I got tired of kicking them all...

Now the Piranha has taken it's place... but I don't mind as much. Enemies have to get somewhat close before the Piranha squad takes over.. which gives me some time to actually kill stuff. That's why I hated the Krysae, it made it so that I sat around and didn't/couldn't contribute, b/c everything was dead before I could even hit an enemy with a power.

A) The one in the SP is the original un-nerfed one.
Yes, it does need to be buffed. An ROF buff, and maybe slight damage buff too would be good.

(Actually, it's still viable if people know what they're doing, it's just not an I-win button.  Which is as it should be.)

Anyway, I'm not sad. I prefer one underpowered than one overpowered. But yes, I agree they overnerfed the Krysae.

Yes, I'm quite happy.
I unlocked it and never used it, because of how much damage it did, without taking much skill, and because at the time it was being used for the Rocket glitch. It had a bad reputation for both of those reasons.

You've clearly never played silver where it still blows everything to pieces. You should get off your high horse once in a while and try looking at where weapons are really balanced.

You suck at math.  Its dps is worse than the locust.  It's AE, but the AE radius is small.  Even in its hayday, I never saw one get a killstreak.

Stupid logic? What's stupid is you missing the obvious. Do you think I'd be complaining otherwise?

Moreover weapons like the Revenant and Widow were off limits to most classes for a reason in ME2.

Here is that Falcon-level nerf that the nerf-herders said wasn't going to happen. Actually, I think it got nerfed quite a bit harder than the Falcon. I guess since all the explosive weapons are garbage, that BW should just stop trying with them. Striker always blew, Falcon got nerfed into uselessness, as did the Krysae. They should just stop.

Why would you want 'any' weapon to be crap in a single player//multiplayer co-op game? It's not competitie, it jsut gives you less options.

the gun is decent in sivler but bad for gold and plat becasue it cant handle boss mobs becuase its dps sucks. the thing is so awkward to use, you can prolly reload cancel with the widow to get a faster rof than the krysae. the splash damage and double shotting are the only things that dont make this gun completely awful

(GI + weapon gear V + weapon rail III + ammo IV) will make ANY weapon do insane damage.
You could have reached similar score with a shuriken (in fact shuriken has higher DPS, so probably more)

You did not demonstrate that the weapon is good. You demonstrated that GI + max eq. is godly on anything.

It's still a decent weapon. I wish people would stop calling for nerfs though. I mean, we all share points so who cares if someone is using a gun that's OP?
